No, Osmania University doesn't have any provision of direct admission for UG and PG programmes. Candidates seeking admission to Osmania University clear the course-specific entrance test. Based on the entrance test scores, selected candidates are then called for a counselling round depending upon the course. For PG, PG Diploma and five-year integrated courses, candidates must have to clear the CPGET entrance test, followed by a web counselling round.

Candidates seeking admission to Osmania University PG, PG Diploma and five-year integrated courses must visit the official website of the University (cpget.tsche.ac.in/CPGET/CPGET_HomePage.aspx). Click on the apply now button and fill out the application form with all the mandatory information. The registration fee for a single subject is INR 800 for OC/BC candidates and INR 600 for SC/ST/PH candidates. For each additional subject, the fee is INR 450 for all categories. The next and final step of the application process is to upload the scanned documents as mentioned below: Documents Required at the Time of Application:
  • Passport-size photograph (less than 40KB)
  • Scanned signature (less than 30KB)
  • Class 10 and 12 mark sheets

A good college for placements and for quality education but still need some improvements.
Placements: In my course, about 70-80% students got placed. The highest package of 2023-2024 is 13LPA, the lowest is 6LPA and the average package is 7LPA. The top recruiting companies in our course are Oracle, TCS, Wipro, Cisco and many others. Top roles offered in our course are that of Junior Engineer and Assistant Engineer.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure for my course is very good. The faculty members are well experienced and their teaching methods are also good. Labs are well-equipped with instruments. Classrooms are very good being spacious and having projectors available for PPTs. The college doesn't have it’s own hostel, the private hostels would cost you around 6k-8k per month with all the basic amenities.
Faculty: The teachers are well experienced, qualified and their teaching methods are also good. The course curriculum is relevant, it makes the students industry ready by giving real life examples and how to avoid problems and solve real life issues in the industry. The semester exams’ difficulty level is between medium and high. To pass a subject, minimum 40% aggregation is required.
Other: Due to my rank and cut-off, I chose this course. The flexibility of pursuing of this course towards public or private sector was also a factor along with the rapid growth in the EV Sector which may lead to more demand of electrical engineers in the future. To improve the course, there should more PPTs and videos shown for better understanding of the subject. Two fest are conducted by the college. One is a technical fest called ACUMEN and other is a cultural fest called EUPHORIA. The campus is surrounded by trees which is helpful in the summer for avoiding heat. There are various clubs which are open for only 2nd and 3rd year students like Arts, Writers, Flim Making, Photography, etc. There are two dance groups named Abhinaya and Team Ballet. We also have Swayam which is an entrepreneurship cell for the students who are interested in startups.

I like this college because it has a good structure along with educated lecturers.
Placements: 40% students joined the course. The highest package of the course is 15 LPA and the lowest is 4 LPA. Top MNCs like Amazon visit for placements drive in our college. 60% of the students got internships from our course.
Infrastructure: There is a good infrastructure in our college. The classes are good along with neat washrooms available. The college has good faculty members. Wi-Fi is provided across the college. We have all the labs like electronics lab and physical lab along with having good classrooms. There is a library also. We have a canteen in our college which provides good food.
Faculty: The teachers of our college provide good knowledge to the students. The teachers are very well educated. They conduct many curricular activities in the college. There are many sports games available for students. The semester exam’s passing percentage is 70% but passing the semester exam is hard.
Other: I like the infrastructure of the college and the faculty members. There are many sports available in our college. The surroundings are kept neat and clean. A scholarship is available for a particular caste.

The civil engineers life at MVSR.
Placements: The placement percentage is 70 percent. The highest package is about 10 LPA, the lowest package is 3 LPA, and the average package is about 6 LPA. The top recruiting companies are Tata, Birla, and Sunshine.
Infrastructure: The facilities and infrastructure provided by the campus, in and around, are just awesome. The college is enabled with Wi-Fi 24/7, and it provides us with the best library containing the best books for all the courses, which gives us extra knowledge according to practical life.
Faculty: The teachers are quite helpful but need some more practice and experience. They are qualified, but they are unable to reach quality. There is a vice filled with fear, and there is less in it. The semester exams on campus are very difficult.

The faculty was average, and there are no placements in the IT field.
Placements: 60% students were placed in the course. The highest package was ₹20,000 and the lowest package was ₹12,000. There are no internships provided in our college and there is no perfect campus placement. There is nothing like top roles offered in our course, and the companies that came were from telecalling, that's it.
Infrastructure: We have Wi-Fi, labs, classrooms, a library, and a sports room. I'm not from the hostel. We also have a canteen, but there is no use of it because they are not taking ₹1 extra; instead, they are taking ₹5 extra. If the chip packet costs ₹5, they will charge ₹10 for it.
Faculty: The teaching was somehow better, but the clever students will get what the ma'am is teaching faster. The semester exams were somewhat tough, and the pass percentage is 35 out of 100 and 27 out of 80. The 35 out of 100 is too much because it's a tough competition.
Other: Fests will happen, and there are no extracurricular activities.

Absolutely satisfied with the faculty, placements, and infrastructure.
Placements: Osmania University has a strong campus placement record. Most students are hired through campus placements, with the highest package being 34 LPA and the lowest around 4 LPA. Various internship opportunities are also provided. Top recruiters include TCS, Tata, Grantley Edu Teach, Medha Private Limited, and others, offering roles such as engine designer and quality checker.
Infrastructure: Osmania is well-equipped compared to other universities, offering excellent lab facilities, classrooms, and various other amenities. Hostels are available for both girls and boys, with hygienic mess facilities. There are also numerous sports and games available.
Faculty: The faculty is talented and professional, though some lecturers may not cover all material, requiring students to self-study. The course curriculum is relevant, and while semester exams can be challenging with questions beyond the syllabus, students generally pass with good percentages.
Other: Events and fests are frequently organized in the college, and they are conducted in an organized manner. All teachers and staff are very supportive in helping students organize these events.
