NSS College, Nilamel, Kollam.
Placements: There is no campus placement offered in this course, and I am not yet completed the course. After completing a degree in this course, we can go for post-graduation and can also apply for higher studies like B.Ed. course and later apply for the UGC NET exam.
Infrastructure: It's an old college, so the infrastructure is very much old-fashioned. Wi-Fi is available for each department, and students after the first semester can access the library. Labs are available for Physics, Chemistry, and Biology departments.
There is no hostel facility in this college, but a canteen is there and they serve much better food at rates which are feasible for the students.
They provide very good support for students in sports provided with basketball kits, a football ground, a cricket ground, and accessories needed to play.
Faculty: Tutors are very friendly to the students rather than a teaching class; it looks like good interacting sessions. Teachers are qualified who have Ph.D. and some of them have doctorates. For those who need to improve their language skills in English, can opt for this course. The difficulty level for the semester exams is moderate, and students need 30 percent to pass.
Other: I chose this course to improve my language skills in English and for those who read many books will like this course. I wish this course more has a visual presentation for the short stories and poems which makes the students much easier to understand. Events like freshers day, union day, college day, arts fest, sports meet are conducted at regular intervals. The campus and surroundings have a positive impact on students because it's very greenery.
