There was no exposure to core placements in huge numbers, But a few companies visited here, but they didn't hire students and are fake.

College is good. Admission and study.
Placements: In this college, placements are very poor. The college name is good for his GATE qualifiers, and PMEC college was recently awarded by pm Narendra Modi. Our lowest package is 2 LPA, and the highest package is 6 LPA. 20%-30% students got an internship or placement in this college.
Infrastructure: Facilities are good, mostly our campus is complete with Wi-Fi, also labs and classrooms are fully smart. Hostels are neat and clean on campus, and in the hostel, Wi-Fi is available for all users. Food quality is average, not very good or not bad. In this college indoor stadium is not available.
Faculty: Faculty are good. Teaching quality or qualification is excellent, also all teachers are helpful, but some automobile teachers don't know anything but show like they know all. In our semester exam invigilator was very strict. Don't allow any type of cheating.
Other: I want to complete a graduation course, so I chose this course. The best thing is that in this college no competition with other colleges. Doing an internship in different companies or trying to attend off-campus placement drives.

Decent campus life, helpful teachers, and a supportive environment.
Placements: 40-50% of students were placed in our course, and the average package is 3-4.5 LPA. Top companies were APMOSYS, Cybrain, etc. Properly, I could not know how many got internships in which company, but my 4-5 friends got internships.
Infrastructure: New infrastructure has been made, which is particularly a separate building for the library named the Central Library, and all the facilities were provided. The quality of the hostel is quite average, but a student can manage easily. The food quality is sometimes good, sometimes average. There is a big ground available for playing sports and games.
Faculty: Teachers are helpful, qualified, and knowledgeable. The quality of teaching of some teachers was good. Semester exams are not difficult. Everybody should pass, but you need to at least solve the previous 2 years' papers. 33% is the minimum percentage for a student to pass.
Other: I chose this course because during COVID, CSE was in hype, and my friends also suggested opting for the Computer Science branch. You can gain some knowledge about the subject and do projects at the end. Events were organized, such as sports events, such as Arena, and a fest called Exuberance, which was held for 3 days, and many more celebrities came to perform. More extracurricular activities were done by the clubs, and you can also take part in those clubs to enhance, improve, and showcase your skills.

The placement scenario is pretty bad and only good college for those who want to study further .
Placements: The placement condition in my college is very bad. Every student is trying very hard to get placed, but due to a lack of opportunities, it has become very difficult for each one of us. Even after being one of the best students, I am here going for off-campus placements.
Infrastructure: The lab and infrastructure of our college are good; they are good enough for the students. The lab is also up to the mark, making it good enough for students, though it needs to be made better since the technology there isn't up to the mark and needs to be enhanced.
Faculty: The teachers in our college are a mixed batch of faculty. Some of them are really helpful and help you in working better, whereas there are some teachers who don't like you much and will try to put you down. Also, the curriculum is never finished and is very outdated and needs to be renewed.
Other: The college is a good college if you know you can crack off-campus placements; go for it. But since it is mostly in the interior part of Odisha, with fewer facilities, do not opt for it.

Balanced college life with good teachers and a lively campus.
Placements: 50% of students got placed. The highest package is 5.5 LPA to 7 LPA (Infoscepts/Trys IT Services). The lowest package is 2.7 LPA (MRF Tyres Ltd, ApMoSys Technologies, etc). Average package is 3.5 LPA to 3.7 LPA. Top recruiters are Infoscepts, Trys IT Services, HCL Tech, ApMoSys Technologies, Springs People Software, Bonfiglioli, Cybrain Solutions, and Smart Recoon. Roles offered are software engineer, graduate engineer trainee (GET), QA engineer, support engineer, and developer. Around 35-40% of students got internships in companies like Infoscepts, HCL Tech, ApMoSys, Smart Recoon, and Springs People Software.
Infrastructure: In the CSE department, labs are well-equipped with systems on Windows 8, 10, and 11, and Wi-Fi with password access is available across campus. Classrooms use smart boards, and the library has good technical books. Hostel rooms are basic but manageable, with average mess food and better options in the canteen. Medical shops and Sum Hospital nearby cover health needs. The campus has cricket, football, volleyball, indoor games, and a decent gym. There are also grocery shops, a bookstore, a utility block with fast food, a dedicated ice cream outlet, and many food stalls, giving students plenty of choices.
Faculty: Teachers in CSE are quite supportive, and most of them are well-qualified. They explain concepts properly and are approachable if you have doubts, though the teaching quality sometimes depends on the individual teacher. The course curriculum is relevant and covers all the core areas, but to be industry-ready we still need to practice coding and learn extra skills outside the syllabus. Semester exams are moderately difficult. If you attend classes and study regularly, passing is not tough. The pass percentage is generally high, so students don't face much trouble.
Other: I chose CSE for coding and career scope. Teachers are supportive, and labs are okay, though some systems need better software. College hosts big annual events and sports, which are very engaging, along with cultural and technical fests that keep the campus lively. Facilities like shops and food options inside campus are nice. The crowd is friendly. Connectivity is decent, but I feel more industry tie-ups and updated systems would make the course even better.

Good campus, average faculty members, and decent placements.
Placements: At PMEC Berhampur, around 65-70% of students in my course got placed. The highest package is 10 LPA, the lowest is 3 LPA, and average is 4.5 LPA to 5 LPA. Top recruiters included TCS, Infosys, Wipro, Vedanta, and Jindal. About 40-50% of students secured internships in firms like TCS, Vedanta, NTPC, with roles such as GET, software developer, and system engineer.
Infrastructure: My department at PMEC has Wi-Fi, modern labs, smart classrooms, and a well-stocked library. Hostels offer basic facilities, though food in the mess and canteen is average. Medical care is available on campus, and good facilities exist for sports and games to support students' overall growth.
Faculty: Teachers at PMEC are helpful, well-qualified, and knowledgeable. The teaching quality is good, with focus on both theory and practical. The curriculum is relevant and updated to industry needs, with added skill training. Semester exams are moderately difficult. But with preparation, most students pass. The pass percentage is around 85-90% in my course.
Other: I chose this course for strong career prospects and interest in the field. Best parts are practical labs, supportive teachers, and placement scope. It needs improvement in core company visits and advanced tools. PMEC has vibrant fests, active clubs, scholarships, good campus life, and friendly crowd.

Not good for placements, so don't choose it.
Placements: Placements are not so good. As it is a government college, the expectation is high. Only 2-3 companies visit our college. Bajaj, Tata Power, Havells, etc., visited our college. Bajaj is the top recrutior. The highest package offered is 2.8 LPA. The lowest package offered is 1.7 LPA. Many students choose to do internships in Tata Power.
Infrastructure: There is Wi-Fi all over the campus with CCTV security. The library is good with all types of technology books. Classrooms are spacious and digitally updated. Labs are very good with all apparatus used in industry. There are two hostels, one boys hostel outside the campus and a girls hostel inside the campus.
Faculty: Faculty members are good. They are highly qualified and experienced. They all have done their master's and postgraduate. The course curriculum is good. It makes us ready for the industry. There are two semesters in a year conducted by BPUT. Each semester has two sessionals which are conducted by the college.

Yes, there is a chance that you can get admission in CSE branch in PMEC. 83 is a good percentile. Usually cut off is around 75-80 percentile. And if not CSE branch than you can definitely get other branches.

You must increase your JEE Mains percentage because 78 percentile is not sufficient to get CSE branch. So, You have to increase your percentage and 12th marks are not considered.
