With 60 marks in TS LAWCET, admission into PG College of Law, Osmania University, is somewhat tough for the LLM programme but can be possible depending on cutoffs and category.TS LAWCET for LLM stands at 120 marks with a minimum of 60 marks for admission, that being half, a fair minimum. The cut-off for the general category usually falls within 65-75 marks, while formerly SC/ST cut-off ranges between 50-60. In the case of OBC candidates, the cut-off often stands between 60-70. In that case at 60 marks, general candidates probably would be out of admission in the first round but may be able to make it through counseling rounds if seats remain vacant. Reserved category applicants will stand a better chance, given the fewer participants.The general admission of any candidate also depends on the rank, enjoy the benefits of about 20-30 seats for the LLM batch, and annual-cutoff trends;

The highest package offered globally on PG College of Law, Osmania University, has a yearly variation but tends to fall within the Rs 8 LPA-and-Rs 12 LPA range.The best achievers, especially within BA LLB and LLM, get into law firms or corporate legal departments or horticultural societies, typically available in prestigious institutions like Cyril Amarchand Mangaldas or AZB & Partners, apart from public sector units. This peak salary has been recorded by students having very good academic records coupled with good internships. Average packages lie somewhere around Rs 4-6 LPA, matching the college reputation against the backdrop of the Hyderabad legal ecosystem. Placement statistics of the past few years show approximately 60%-70% placements being above average positions and high indeed when compared to competitive sectors like corporate law.

Due to the public nature of PG College of Law, Osmania University, fees for the LLM programme are quite accessible. For a two-year program, the tuition fee is around INR 10,000–15,000 per year, totaling approximately INR 20,000–30,000 over the two years.Other expenses include examination fees (about INR 1,000–2,000 yearly), library fees (INR 500–1,000), and registration (INR 1,000 one time), adding up to the total expenditure of INR 25,000–35,000. If needed, hostel fees would be additional at INR 10,000–15,000 per year. Compared to private law schools that charge in excess of INR 1,00,000 per annum, it is truly economical.The fees may differ for a few by way of categories (e.g. SC/ST concessions) or slight annual revisions, but it matches with TS state university parameters

The application fee for the BA LLB programme at PG College of Law, Osmania University is largely dependent on the TS LAWCET entrance examination. For the year 2025, this fee is between INR 500 to almost INR 800 for general and OBC candidates as sampled in the last years, while SC/ST candidates pay around INR 500.It is mainly for registration to the exam and paid up online at the submission of the application. Other expenses such as the counseling fees (INR 500–1,000) may apply after the results for seat allocation. The college does not charge itself an additional application fee apart from what TS LAWCET prescribes. This is the norm for all law admissions in the state of Telangana, although caution for marginal augmentation in 2025 must be exercised;

PG College of Law, Osmania University, is very good for BA LLB. A famous university, it is bar council of india approved 5-year programme with strong curriculum in constitutional law, criminal law, etc.Faculty consists of experienced professors and practice in moot court and internships to improve skills. About average placements of INR 4-6 LPA with the highest reaching INR 12 LPA offered by firms like Cyril Amarchand Mangaldas. Tier 2, it indicates that it has quite a good standing in the region, but not that of the elite colleges like NLSIU or NALSAR. Economical fees INR 20,000-30,000 yearly plus the strong alumni network in Telangana legal scene value it further. A trusted option for good legal education.

Submissions to PG College of Law, Osmania University, for academic rectitude may have last been set in either May or June, all basically for those admissions scheduled for August start. Just like in 2025, and following old trends, applications are expected to open by March for BA LLB through TS LAWCET but close by the end of May, and if there are delays in conducting counseling could extend until early June.These dates are, however, contingent on TS LAWCET notifications, the actual notification is usually released every year by the Telangana State Council of Higher Education. Other dates for LLM or other courses would get touched, like usual, just after the entrance results or mostly mid-June. To be missed within deadlines will mean exclusions from the merit list; thus, candidates should be checking on the exact Osmania University or TS LAWCET website for the right schedule of 2025.

Historically the closing ranks for this course have been much lower. For example in 2022 the closing ranks were 87 for open category males and 946 for open category females.According to your rank you might consider other reputed law colleges whose cut-off ranks are comparable with your TS LAWCET ranks. Consider appearing in subsequent counseling sessions since cut offs and seats could vary

The PG College of Law, Osmania University is a good choice for an LL.M, if you're looking for affordable education, experienced faculty, and a strong academic reputation. Being one of India's the oldest law colleges, it has a solid foundation in legal education.However, placements are not very strong, so you may need to put in extra effort to secure internships and job opportunities. If you're self-motivated and willing to network, it can be a great option. Otherwise, private universities with better placement support might be preferable.
