The list of colleges accepting the students for admission to 3-year LLB and 5-Year LLB is released by the TS LAWCET admission cell on the official website. The candidates can select atleast three colleges for their admission during the TS LAWCET web -option exercise.
There are a total of 120 questions in the TS LAWCET question paper. Following is the segregation of marks for each section:
- General Knowledge & Mental Ability: 30 questions
- Current Affairs: 30 questions
- Aptitude for the Study of Law: 60 questions
The Aptitude for the Study of Law is the most important section of the TS LAWCET exam because majority of the questions are asked in this section and it carries a weightage of equal to 60 marks out 120 marks.
The official TS LAWCET cutoff marks will not be available on a single webpage. This is because the cutoffs are determined for each counselling round and for each participating college and course. Thus, each college participating in TS LAWCET will release the cutoff marks on its official webiste.
However, you can find the TS LAWCET cutoff marks on the official website of the Telangana State Council of Higher Education (TSCHE) after they declare the results at lawcet.tsche.ac.in. The cutoffs are generally released separately for each round of counselling.
The TS LAWCET qualifying criteria refer to the category-wise minimum marks required to pass the exam. There are no qualifying marks for the SC and ST category candidates. However, General candidate need 35% marks.

TS LAWCET 2026 Tie Breaking Process
The cutoff marks show the last rank for admission in each category. So, the TS LAWCET 2026 cutoff list will be prepared based on the rank list. Sometimes, two or more students may get the same rank. In such cases, the tie will be broken in the following way.
- If you score higher marks in Part C (Aptitude for Study of Law), you will get a better rank.
- When the tie still stays, the one with more marks in Part B (Current Affairs) will be placed higher.
- And if the tie continues even after that, then the older candidate will be given the higher rank.

TS LAWCET Previous Year Exam Analysis
For the TS LAWCET 2025 exam, the 5-year LLB paper was seen as moderate overall. You can check below how each part of the test felt to most students. The General Knowledge and Mental Ability part had around 20+ good attempts, and many said it was easy to moderate. Some questions were direct, while few needed quick thinking.
