The candidate should have passed 10+2 (Physics, Chemistry, Biology, English) with a minimum age of 17 years and a maximum age of 25 years.
There is a relaxation of 5 years in the upper age limit for SC/ST candidates.
The candidate should be a Registered Nurse (RN) or Registered Midwife (RM) with three years of bedside experience in bedside nursing or public health nursing in a Central/State Government recognised hospital/institute for the Post Basic course.
The candidate should have passed 10+2 (Physics, Chemistry, Biology, English) with a minimum age of 17 years and a maximum age of 25 years.

- Diploma in Operation Theatre Technology after completing 12th Class/10+2 of CBSE or equivalent with minimum aggregate of 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Biology/Mathematics provided the candidate has passed in each subject separately.
- Candidates who have studied abroad and have passed the equivalent qualification as determined by the Association of Indian Universities will form the guideline to determine the eligibility and must have passed in the subjects: Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Mathematics and English upto 12th Standard level.
- For sponsored candidates: a) Matriculation/Higher Secondary/ Pre-University passedb) Certificate/Diploma in concerned subject i.e. Operation Theatre Technology of at least One Year duration from a recognised Institute.c) 5 year experience as Operation Theatre Assistant/Anaesthesia Technician/theatre master or equivalent in a teaching/ research institute after obtaining qualification and experience mentioned at ) (a) & (b) above.
