PGIMER Placement Overview 2025
PGIMER Chandigarh has not published an official placement report. However, the NIRF Report 2025 has been out for the institute. As per the report, the median package offered to UG 3 and UG 4-Year sudents during placements 2024 was INR 10 LPA each. While the median package offered to PG 2-year placements 2024 was INR 11.5 LPA. The median package offered to PG 3-year students was INR 30 LPA during the PGIMER Chandigarh placements 2024.
As per PGIMER NIRF report 2024, the median package offered during PG 2-year and PG 3-year placements 2023 stood at INR 9 LPA and INR 18 LPA, respectively. Further, a total of 60 students were placed out of 70 students during PG 2-year placements whereas 200 students were placed and 35 students opted for higher studies out of 250 students during PG 3-year placements 2023.
Earlier, the NIRF report 2023 is out. According to the report, 40 PG (2-year) and 165 PG (3-year) students were placed during PGIMER Chandigarh placements 2022. Further, the median package offered to PG (2-year) and PG (3-year) students during 2022 placements was INR 8 LPA and INR 17 LPA, respectively.

PGIMER Chandigarh offers various medical courses at the UG, PG, Advanced Masters, Doctorate, and Post Doctorate levels. BSc is one of the flagship courses provided at the institute. The total tuition fee for the BSc course is around INR 1K as per the official website/sanctioning body. It is, however, subject to changes and hence, is indicative. The course is provided across specialisations including Nursing, Medical Radiology and Imaging Technology, among others.
The application fee for all the courses is INR 1,000 for the general category and for the SC/ST candidates it is Rs 800 (except for MD/MCh which is Rs 1000 for all the categories). PGIMER application process is completely online. All the applicants who wish to apply to any of the courses offered by PGI Chandigarh can register online and pay the fee.

Admission to PGIMER MD/ MS/ DM/ MCh courses is based on INI CET ranks. After the declaration of the INI CET July Session results, candidates meeting the INI CET cutoff score can apply for admission to PGIMER.
Postgraduate Institute of Medical Education and Research eligibility is different for each programme. This depends on several factors. The basic eligibility however, is as below:

PGIMER, Chandigarh. Applications are invited through countrywide advertisement in leading newspapers usually during September/October and March/April for the January and July session respectively. The entrance examination is held in December for the January session and in the June for July session.
