PGDM in Marketing Management - Batch of 2020

Review of PGDM at We School.
Placements: As per my knowledge, our school's average package for our batch is 12 lacs per year, with the highest package reaching 25.5 lacs. The top companies that participated in the drives included Adani Wilmar, Amazon, Accenture Technology, Cognizant, Tech Solutions, Deloitte and many more. Our institute offers mandatory summer internships (8–10 weeks) at companies like HP, Jio, and Indian Oil for digital marketing and analysis projects.
Infrastructure: The lack of an outdoor sports field on campus is not ideal. The college is located in Matunga, which has high living costs. The college has 800 students, but there is too much crowding on campus. Wi-Fi is available in the hostel, canteen and campus. The library is both digital and traditional. The hostel facility is not good. There are so many problems in the hostel. The most important thing is that food quality is not very good.
Faculty: Some college official are very rude. The office staff is very slow. Teachers are good after lectures; they provide hand written notes that are helpful. Lecture are very long; each lecture is for 2 hours. The course include all aspects of management along with technology like cloud computing, coding, etc. This course is also flagship programme. Semester exams are moderately difficult and require proper knowledge of concepts.
Other: Inside college, there is a network issue. JIO have full network but there is no network for Airtel.

    The worst institute, unworthy.
Placements: Companies should not waste time hiring from this institute; they should consider other institutions for hiring candidates, as this is the worst institute for recruiting. Do not give off-campus placements to them. This institute will be closed permanently.
Infrastructure: The hostel was the worst; there were no facilities, and there was dirt all around. The institute is overall the worst in everything. There is no place for sports activities, and there is no exposure to any activities. The batchmates were the worst, with behavior issues and no knowledge of how to socialize.
Faculty: The course is good, but the faculty members are not able to deliver the curriculum properly; they don't seem interested in teaching as if they are doing it for free. They keep giving back the same material again and again. They have not provided me with any placements yet. Very irresponsible.
Other: The facilities are the worst ever, and the director and staff of the institute are not the right people for the job. The faculty members do not respond to emails and do not take any action if a complaint is raised.

Satisfied with the faculty and management of the college.
Placements: Our college is one of the most prestigious colleges in India. Around 80–85% of students get on-campus placements every year. Top recruiting companies are Nestled, Byju's, TCS, Infosys, Accenture, etc. The average package provided at our college is 6-7 LPA. Our college also provides summer internships to students with a good stipend.
Infrastructure: The college has a well-developed infrastructure. The college campus is secured with CCTV cameras. The facilities provided by the college are really good. The labs at the college are properly working. The college library has all kinds of books. The hostel at the college is also good. Food in the hostel mess and canteen is good to eat. Overall, I am satisfied with the college facilities.
Faculty: Of course, all the teachers at the college are highly qualified and knowledgeable. Teachers are supportive and responsible for the students. Teachers help us in every possible situation. The Mumbai University course curriculum is followed in our college. College exams are not that tough.
Other: Apart from good placements and faculty, the college also provides various sports facilities to the students. There are various tech fest organized at our college.

    The campus is very good.
Placements: After completing their summer internship, students become eligible for placements, which typically occur after the 3rd trimester or 1st year. During this time, they are also offered pre-placement offers (PPOs). Last year, the highest package offered was 24 lacs, while the average package was around 10 lacs. Approximately 90% of the batch successfully secures placements. Considering my experience through placement, I may consider starting my own business after gaining some work experience in the field.
Infrastructure: To begin, it is important to note that the hostel does not offer meals, which I find to be unjust. Additionally, Weldingkar has limited campus space, so they have established hostels within a 2-kilometer radius of the colleges. The hostel I currently reside in provides all necessary amenities except for food. The college has furnished the hostel with an AC, fridge, beds, pillows, cupboards, desk and chair, cloth stand, kettle, iron, and iron stand. The option to choose a hostel is available during the form-filling process, but the location is subject to availability. Furthermore, even if you initially request a hostel, you have the freedom to decline the facilities later on. The annual hostel fee amounts to INR 205,000.
Faculty: This course offers a perfect blend of practical and theoretical learning, providing valuable insights into the retail industry. It offers an added advantage over a regular PG or MBA degree. The faculty members are highly knowledgeable industry experts who provide us with valuable industry exposure. The class size is limited to 10 students, ensuring personalized attention. The course fee is INR 650,000 per year.

A bit of a rollercoaster ride but overall a good experience.
Placements: No, there are no placements done yet, but we are promised of them by the end of this month and we were called for interviews by companies but some of them get selected. You have to look for opportunities on your own and basically you have to save yourself.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is pretty good and it will make you feel as if you are in a 5 star hotel, be it the classrooms, leisure rooms, dorm rooms, gaming room. The canteen and the library are well maintained. Toilets are always clean and the classrooms have well conditioned AC with big monitors and projectors.
Faculty: There were no exams for this course. The faculty was super cool with the marks and used to give marks on the basis of assignments, ppts and other submissions. We never had to worry about failing in this course and the faculty shared their notes and ppts with us.

Securing the 70 percentile in CAT is a decent score, and it may make you eligible for admission to some of the well-known management institutes, such as Prin. L. N. Welingkar Institute of Management Development and Research (WeSchool), Mumbai. However, admission to WeSchool's Post Graduate Diploma in Management (PGDM) programme is based on a combination of factors such as the candidate's CAT score, academic qualifications, work experience, and performance in group discussions and personal interview rounds.

The institute follows a rigorous selection process, where it shortlists candidates based on their CAT scores and invites them for group discussions and personal interview rounds. In addition to CAT scores, the institute also considers candidates' performance in previous academic qualifications, work experience, and other criteria such as diversity, extracurricular activities, and social sensitivity. Therefore, while securing 70 percentile in CAT may make you eligible for admission to WeSchool's PGDM programme, it's important to focus on other aspects of your application, such as your academic record, work experience, and performance in group discussion and personal interview rounds, to increase your chances of admission.
