Both MS Ramaiah and LPU are solid universities with their own strengths, like Ramaiah's established rep in Bangalore for engineering. But honestly, as a student checking options, I'd lean towards LPU for its massive 600-acre campus that feels like a full-on global hub. They've got killer placements—highest package hit INR 62.72 LPA recently, with over 1,050 recruiters offering tons of jobs, way more diverse than many spots. NIRF 2025 ranks them 31st overall in India, plus top 50 in engineering and even better in pharmacy and law. Fees are competitive with scholarships cutting it down if you score well in LPUNEST, and the vibe is super modern with international tie-ups for exposure. Ramaiah's great too, no doubt, especially location-wise, but LPU's scale, updated facilities, and student-focused growth make it edge out for me in 2026 admissions. Feels more future-proof for hustling careers.

Achieving admission into the MS Ramaiah Institute of Management (MSRIM) may not be too hard but may be said to be moderately competitive. The eligibility criteria for their full-time PGDM programme is that candidates must have at least 50% in their undergraduate degree, though there is a relaxation to 45% for reserved category candidates. National level entrance examination such as CAT, MAT, XAT, CMAT, GMAT or another equivalent entrance exam must be taken by the applicants. The selection process comprises performance in the entrance exams and a subsequent group discussion, personal interview and sometimes essay writing. It can be stated that the admission process is too strict but it is not impossible for candidates who have done well in these exams and have also adequately prepared for the interviews.
