Dream college for the middle class.
Placements: Placements for graduate courses are quite average, with the highest package of 10 LPA and the lowest 2-3 LPA. Many of the students got prestigious internships in their final year as medical analysts. It provides many postgraduate courses ahead that are aligned with industrial needs.
Infrastructure: The 100-year-old building is accommodated with contemporary technology, high-tech labs, and well-equipped labs. The canteen is quite good, and the open theatre is the soul of the campus. The Sahir auditorium and the seminar halls are fully furnished with a capacity of 200-300 students and are fully air-conditioned.
Faculty: Teachers are well-qualified and supportive, making students ready for the job market. The professors are Ph.D. holders and are experienced enough to carry out research, helping students learn well. This might be the reason that the college has a high pass percentage.
Other: Many extracurricular activities are there, from sports to declamations and youth festivals. The college is wholesome for making students good human beings and a resource to the country.

It is a government college which provides best-valued education and good hostel facilities.
Placements: I am studying a bachelor of science. About 35% of the students in the bachelor of science and most talented students as popular personality got placed. The salary offered to the students ranges from Rs. 30,000 to 80,000 per month in INSAT company.
Infrastructure: The campus is not that good, but education is valuable and mere profit as a faithful. Wi-Fi is available for 24 hours day or night. The hostel is very valuable and provides service very highly. Food served in the mess is of very good quality. Games and festivals or events are celebrated every year.
Faculty: Teachers and professors in our college are highly qualified and also teach students in the best way. Their teaching quality is clear. Teachers teach as friendly to students. Courses of this campus are very popular as per the requirement of the industrial area. The placement committee has to provide skill and knowledge of belonging courses for students.
Other: I am a student of B.Sc non-medical, and computer science is the best for medical industries. The computer science course is good nowadays.

Better than past. Many things are changed.
Placements: I don't know the proper number of students but many students are placed in very good places. Rs. 50,000- Rs. 70,000 is the highest salary and Rs. 20,000- Rs. 25,000 is the lowest. Roles offered in government colleges as teachers and many medical laboratories. My course is related to teaching line, chemistry, and botany.
Infrastructure: There is a good hostel facility for boys. Libraries are good and many books are available in the library. Labs are clean and every lab has an attendant. Canteens have also good areas for sitting, college have to upgrade the aviation system as heat is increasing day by day.
Faculty: Teachers are very helpful. They are highly qualified and knowledgeable. Their teaching quality is also quite impressive. Semester exams are not very difficult, average student can bring good marks if he tries. Exams are not very difficult.

The college is very economical for all backgrounds of society and provides a good study.
Placements: There are 240 seats available for B.Sc non-medical. Out of which 40 students are from computer branch, and the rest are from chemistry. Physics and mathematics are compulsory for both chemistry and computer students. The college has Satish Chander Dhawan who is a chairman of the ISRO, etc.
Infrastructure: Quality of the infrastructure is average. Practicals are performed in the labs, and labs have appropriate apparatus. There is a reading room for reading in the library. Our college is very good at sports, and students of our college are selected in national teams.
Faculty: Teaching staff members of the college are well-qualified and well-experienced. They have an experience of more than 20 years. Teachers explain topics in a very commendable way, and they also clear doubts. The course curriculum is very relevant for the defence background like Navy and Air Force which requires non-medical background, and a teaching line is also an option.
Other: I have chosen this course because I was from a non-medical background. The college must provide options in the subject. Scholarships are given to the students. Extracurricular activities like NCC and NSS are also conducted here.

This college has a unique role in the society and education in the college is satisfactory.
Placements: About 80% of the students get placed from our college.
Infrastructure: This college has its history as the British government established it in march 1920, and great scientist Satish Dhawan is alumni of the college. This year the college is going to celebrate its golden century. Classrooms are modified from time to time to provide the latest facilities like smart classes.
Faculty: Teachers of the college are very kind, helpful and polite. Even the principal is very friendly to students. They treat students as their friends. There is also a unique connection between principal and students who communicate student as their friend. Our college is specialised in many cources (e. g. B.A., B.Com, B.Sc., B.A., M.A., M.Sc. and M.Com). The college is very famous for its mathematics, and it always gives university toppers every year.
Other: I have chosen a B.Sc non-medical course because there are a lot of opportunities in future. I am interested in chemistry, and I want to get it at a higher level. The level of education in college is also high, so I have chosen this course. There should be an improvement in the enquiry counter as there is no enquiry counter in our college. Most of the students get help from the college in their fee. Even if there are many students, the college provides scholarships. There are many national clubs like NSS, NCC, RRC, etc., which play a very important role in students' life to developed quality of leadership and how to serve our nation. For such kind of acts, many cultural and educational function are organised in our college from time to time.

It is a dream college and the best college in Ludhiana.
Placements: Almost 80% of the students got placed. The highest and lowest salary package depends on your potential. EBM as there are not professional courses. Roles of professors and researchers are offered. The salary offered in our course is about Rs. 25,000 per month. Almost 60-70% of the students get placed but mostly pursue post-graduation as there are less professional courses, and they focus on your ability.
Infrastructure: The campus is Wi-Fi enabled. There are well-equipped labs, but old devices. There is a good library. Classrooms are some old-style, and some are advanced. All are satisfactory. The hostel environment is good, and there is good mess food. The canteen has all you need. There is a market nearby. There are medical facilities, and it is the best in sports.
Faculty: Teachers here are well qualified, but self-study matters. The teaching quality is good, although exceptions are everywhere. The course curriculum is very basic, and you need extra for further competitive exams. For industry-ready, I am not sure, but you get a better ability.
Other: I have chosen this course as I want to pursue M.Sc. physics although having a good faculty here. Concepts should be discussed instead of only focusing on exams. All are satisfactory here.

This SCD Government College, Ludhiana, usually opens its undergraduate admissions in May every year. Admission forms were available online from May 23, 2024, for the academic session 2024-2025.
Although no official dates are released for the session 2025-2026, it would be wise to keep checking SCD
