In order to pursue an MBA/PGDM at the School of Management Studies, JNTUH, potential applicants have to initially satisfy the eligibility requirement of the university by possessing a Bachelor degree with a minimum of 50 percent marks (45 percent marks for BC category). The most important thing is to come and obtain a good competitive rank in Telangana State integrated common entrance test (TS-ICET). Based on the TS-ICET results, the candidates should then be an active member in the centralization counselling process which is organized by Telangana State Council of Higher Education involving online registration, intense document verification as well as, strategic selection process of the School of Management Studies, JNTUH, as their institution of choice.

Admission to the MBA course at the college is done based on the scores obtained in the TSICET exam. In 2025, the last round cutoff rank for the exam was around 45 for students belonging to the general category.
