The eligibility criteria to seek direct admission for the M.Sc. in Statistics and Data Science course at School of Mathematical Sciences are:
Candidate must hold a Bachelor's degree in Statistics from any recognised University / institute with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks or equivalent grade.
Candidate must hold a Bachelor's degree with Statistics as one of the subjects in the final year with minimum 50% aggregate marks or a minimum CGPA of 3 out of 4.
Programming knowledge is a prerequisite for admissions to this programme.
Applicants are expected to complete all the academic requirements of their Undergraduate programs on or before 31 July of the year of Admission.
Candidate must hold a Bachelor's degree in Statistics from any recognised University / institute with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks or equivalent grade.
Candidate must hold a Bachelor's degree with Statistics as one of the subjects in the final year with minimum 50% aggregate marks or a minimum CGPA of 3 out of 4.

The candidate must hold a Bachelor's degree in Statistics from any recognised University / institute with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks or equivalent grade, or a Bachelor's degree with Statistics as one of the subjects in the final year with minimum 50% aggregate marks or a minimum CGPA of 3 out of 4. Additionally, programming knowledge is a prerequisite for admissions to this programme. The selection of eligible candidates will be based on the merit of rank obtained in the entrance examination and/or personal interview.
