Dissatisfied by the college environment and placement.
Placements: Around 20 percent of students were only able to get placed in our batch. The highest package offered was 5 LPA, and the lowest package was 2.5 LPA. The top recruiting company is Infosys. Only a very few got internships, only in training institutes and CSR companies. They offered roles like associate software engineer and graduate intern.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi, labs, sports, and infrastructure were good. In terms of hostel, the food was not good. Classrooms were pretty clean. Mess food was one of the worst in the college. Hostels were clean but encouraging in extracurricular activities were bad and overall its not good.
Faculty: A few of them were good lecturers. Since ours was one of the more branch artificial intelligence and data science, it has few lecturers, but still, some of the lecturers were good in terms of teaching, not for other activities. This branch gives scope. Free semester was tough and others were so easy.
Other: I opted for this course because of the growth in its attachment roles. They should improve faculty and campus life. There are no events. The campus crowd is smaller. There are no extracurricular activities.

Reality of SDM. Here, you can get the true butterflies.
Placements: About 30% of students are placed in our batch. The highest package offered is 60 LPA, and the lowest is 4 LPA. Top recruiting companies are Apple, Infosys, TCL, Google, Amazon, etc. Around 80% of students got internships from course. Top role offered is deputy managing director of TCL.
Infrastructure: College infrastructure is pretty good. Classrooms are also large. Library is the best thing in the university as it is larger than many other campuses. Quality of food is also awesome. I enjoyed my whole college life. Hope so, you will also enjoy every moment there.
Faculty: Everything is fine. It depends on us. Assignments are part of college life. Curriculum courses are also available. Many events take place at this college. Thank you for giving me this opportunity. I am grateful that I have joined that college.

Justification of my college life.
Placements: In my college, the number of batches passing out is higher. Over 50% of students are placed, as far as I know, with packages around 20-30 LPA. Top roles offered include data analysis and many positions as software engineers. More students are placed each year, which makes us more confident.
Infrastructure: Labs are good with properly functioning operating systems and hardware. We have a good environment to study, which helps us capture the points and remember them properly.
Faculty: My teachers are helpful. They work hard to ensure we understand the topics properly. They also encourage us to join more courses so we can improve our skills and learning more topics becomes easier. They also prepare us for placements. Our faculty is very good. They help us with our studies and also help us in developing more skills.
Other: Overall, our college is good. As I mentioned above, the environment is great, and mainly the faculty with their hard work in teaching and correcting students' mistakes.

Absolutely good college and ECE department also. They provide good content of materials to students.
Placements: Around 78% of students were placed in 2024 batch. The highest salary package offered is 10 LPA. The lowest salary package offered is 3 LPA. Cadence is coming for placement drive. Around 85% of students got internships. Roles offered are physical design engineer, verification engineer, and RTL engineer.
Infrastructure: In our department, they provide a very good lab facility. Whenever we go to lab during class hours, they will provide us to do the lab. Books in library are very needful and good content of textbooks are there. It provides very good food for those students who are in hostel. Our society has a hospital also and treatment is very good. Our college supports sports and other activities.
Faculty: In our department, there are around 19 teachers. They are supportive of all activities. They have good knowledge. Teaching staff is excellent. Our department conducts an industrial visit also. There is no difficult to pass the exam because our teachers provide good materials and also they teach very well. Pass percentage is 80%.
Other: I chose this course because of my interest in both software as well as hardware domains. It teaches both coding and circuit analysis. Increase the things related to electronics and communication engineering subjects so that students will get more knowledge. Our college provides scholarships.

"Student's perspective" because this review is given from the student's perspective.
Placements: Still, placement is going on for our batch. The previous batch's placement is good and has above 90% placement. Companies like Cadence, Dlithe, TCS, etc., will recruit in our college. Top roles like physical design engineer, verification engineer, RTL engineer, Python developer, etc.
Infrastructure: Good infrastructure with Wi-Fi, laboratory, clean and hygienic classrooms, well-maintained library with all types of books related to academics and others. The hostel has very good maintenance and hygienic food. Sports, medical facility is well, and wardens are friendly with the students.
Faculty: Teachers are helpful and supportive of the students in both academics and extracurricular activities. They uplift each and every student in studies and help them clear the doubts. They also help with projects and assist students to provide internships and workshops.
Other: I have chosen this course because I personally was interested in this course as it was explorable and interesting and helps me with self-development and skills development. I wish to provide more hands-on experience. Everything else is very good about this college.

It is a good college, but it is very strict, so think twice before joining.
Placements: The placement rate in 2021 was approximately 90%. The highest salary package offered is 10 LPA. The lowest salary package offered is 3 LPA. The average salary package offered is 4.5 LPA. The highest placement is in computer science and engineering, followed by information science and engineering.
Infrastructure: SDM has good hostels. There are 4 hostels, of which 2 are for boys and 2 for girls. There are separate mess halls for boys and girls. The check-in time for boys is 6:30 PM. Breakfast is available from 7:30 AM. Lunch is available from 12:30 PM. Snacks are available from 5:00 PM to 6:00 PM. Dinner is available from 7:30 PM.
Faculty: Teachers are very helpful. Almost all teachers are highly qualified. They have approached teaching in a modern way. VTU syllabus is outdated, but teachers conduct workshops to teach the latest trends in the field. The college follows the strict instructions of VTU.
