SECAB Institute of Engineering and Technology (SIET Bijapur) has below criteria for taking admissions to it's various courses:
CoursesEligibility
B.E. / B.TechCandidate must have passed Diploma in relevant stream from a recognised Institute.
M.E./M.TechCandidates must have passed qualifying examination or equivalent examination as prescribed by the Competent Authority and obtained an aggregate minimum of 50% marks (45% of marks in case of SC, ST and Category-I candidates) taken together in all the subjects of all the years/ semesters of the Degree Examination from any recognised institute/university. Final year students can also apply on provisional basis. Candidates must have valid GATE score.
MCACandidate should have studied Maths at 10+2 stage or at graduation level.
UG DiplomaCandidate must have completed 10+2 from any recognised Board/Council.

Best college in the Bijapur.
Placements: More than 60% are selected in campus selection in our college and the top companies like Turner, L&T. visited our college and selected the students. About 100% students gets placed every year from our CSE department. Average package offered is 44 LPA and average package offered is 5 LPA.
Infrastructure: Good infrastructure and facilities are very good. They provided good internet connection. The college is very clean and green. In covid they have provided online classes. For placements and training students they have provided online classes. The college environment is very good.
Faculty: We have well management and the lecturers are very trained. Well trained lectures and all. All subject teachers provides knowledge in better understanding methods and one on one mentoring is provided for each student and mini projects are conducted each semester. All skills based training is provided. Workshops, seminars and events are organized.
Other: I have chosen this course because I was interested in civil engineering since childhood.

Our college provides good teaching quality, placements, and infrastructure.
Placements: Around 50% of students got placed. The highest salary package offered was 5 LPA and the average salary package offered was 4 LPA. Top recruiting companies are HCL, Capgemini, Third Eye, etc. Top roles offered are junior software engineer and junior AI engineer.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our college is good. The laboratory has the latest software and the internet facility is good. Classrooms are well furnished. Hostel accommodation is not good. The canteen is also good and our entire campus has a Wi-Fi facility.
Faculty: Faculty members are well qualified and dedicated in all aspects. The teaching quality is excellent. our course curriculum is relevant and it makes students industry-ready. Semester exams are conducted strictly.

Our college has good environment and experienced faculty members.
Placements: Around 75% of students get placed. The salary package offered is Rs.80,000 to 1 LPA. Spyder, Infosys, Tata, HCL, Wipro, BMW, Tech Mahindra, ACC Cement, Birla, Hyundai, Syska, and HMT offer placements. Around 50% of students are placed at HCL, Spyder, Infosys, Tech Mahindra, and HMT. Executive engineer, assistant executive engineer, assistant engineer, and a junior engineer are the roles offered.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi speed is about 105 Gb. Library has books of all courses and extra books for extra and deep knowledge about subject. There are aviated classrooms with ceiling fans and comfortable benches with 3 seaters. All useful and informative instruments are available in labs with high quality and accurate results.
Faculty: Teachers are well qualified with not less than M.Tech. They have great teaching skills and are supportive with same outlook without any biasedness. Superior. The course curriculum is great for placements and teachers support made exams more easier. A little bit hard work from students can get 60%.
Other: I chose this course as I am interested in it. Students can know about the constructions, sites, field works, etc. Exploria, food fest, cultural fests, sports, etc., are organised by the college.

I am partially satisfied with this college, as it has supporting faculty and good curriculum track.
Placements: No such promising placements are done on campus. We have to look for our careers by ourselves. Career guidance is given but that will not help any student. Companies are least bothered about this college. Very less people get internships. Only some companies like Tech Mahindra, Cognizant, and Spider hire our students.
Infrastructure: The building is not constructed well enough to be considered a good university but there is a basic model of infrastructure that colleges need. When it comes to hostel, the management is least bothered about the hostel and everyone is focused on making a profit out of it. Labs are well-equipped and has updated systems or computers.
Faculty: Faculty is not sufficient in this college. Every teacher leaves the college after some time of their tenure, must be due to salary issues. But the curriculum is on its track as well as exams are conducted respectively.
Other: Events are not organised in our college. The college is focused on the academic part only, no other activities are conducted.

It is a good campus with the best and most supporting teachers.
Placements: More than 80% of the students get placed through campus interviews, and the rest of them opt for higher education. Top recruiting companies are Cognizant and Tech Fortune, and some of them are working in IBM and Accenture.
Infrastructure: There is a huge library with many books of different editions and authors. Wi-Fi facilities are available in the library. Students can use computers in the library for their research and study. Classrooms are very good with projectors in each class. Hostels are also good with much taking caring wardens and staff members.
Faculty: Teaching is best, so I didn't face any problems during examinations. Since teachers solve every problem related to study, it is easy for everyone to score well in examinations. The course curriculum is as per industry standards, and industrial people are also invited to guide us. Our college teachers are very talented and well-experienced.
Other: I chose the computer science course because I am interested in becoming a software engineer. I am from the 2020 pass-out batch. I am highly satisfied with teachers for guiding and supporting us throughout this journey.

Our college infrastructure is quite good, but some teaching faculty members are not good.
Placements: Many students who got placed left the company because companies are the worst. The highest salary package offered was around 2 LPA to 2.5 LPA. In our college, they only arranged internship programme by inviting faculty members. Still, few students attend internship outside the college in Unique Tech Design Hubli.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our college is average. Facilities like hostel food and canteen are rated up to 4 out of 10. In the library, there is no Wi-Fi, and they are just providing ethernet connectivity with around 30 PCs for the whole college in which the total number of students in college around 2,000.
Faculty: All teachers are not knowledgeable, but few are good enough. Even some teachers don't even teach properly, and they just provide digital notes and inform us to study ourselves. Some faculty members are the worst. This course does not make us industry-ready.
Other: I have chosen this course in this college due to KCET seat allotment. Even in our college, they didn't conduct convocation day, but staff members collected money from us.
