Not that good, needs to be upgraded.
Placements: Placement services are available for every final year student (i.e., from 5th semester onwards) who doesn't have any backlogs in their previous semesters. The average package is up to ₹180,000 per annum. Good companies like Apollo Tyres, RDC Concrete, etc., come for campus selection.
Infrastructure: There were no hostel facilities available, neither for boys nor for girls. Previously, it was sealed due to COVID-positive people staying there. Hostels are fully contracted but not in use. They don't have any security guard or cook, etc. Moreover, the hostel was near the college, but the WiFi connection in that area was very poor.
Faculty: Faculties were good and approachable. They were very helpful, qualified, and knowledgeable, and their teaching was also good. The course curriculum is relevant, but it should be more practical-based to make the students more industry-ready. The semester exams were not that tough. There was a CGPA system, and the pass percentage is 33%.
Other: There were 3 branches: Electrical, Mechanical, and Civil Engineering. I chose Civil Engineering because the quantity of posts available for this branch in government posts is high. I think in Civil Engineering, more practical-based teaching is required rather than bookish knowledge. Our college also celebrates college week every year, and many more fests and events are also held.

If you are genuinely an average, good, or studying person, then you should come to our college.
Placements: In a batch of our college, there are 60 students in a class. Among the 60 students, there is a low chance of getting a higher package. Since our college was established in 2017, large companies have not visited. There is a 100 percent internship for 1-2 weeks after the semester exam. It is a paid internship.
Infrastructure: There is no Wi-Fi connection for students. We have labs, but not all instruments are in good condition. Some are old. Classrooms are dirty. We have a library, but it is not big, so only a few students visit the library. Some students don’t even know there is a library. The library has only class-related books.
Faculty: Teachers are helpful, but not all teachers. Teachers are knowledgeable. The teaching quality is normal. In our college, it feels like students only memorize what they write in their books. Semester exams are not difficult. They are the same for every polytechnic college with the same paper.

Other eligibility criteria
Candidate must passed H.S.L.C./ 10th or equivalent examination with Mathematics and Science as compulsory subject in a single sitting (without grace marks in Science and Mathematics) and also have to pass individually in both theory and practical/ Internal Assessment with minimum 40% marks on average in Mathematics and Science for General/OBC/ MOBC candidates, 35% marks on average in Mathematics and Science for SC candidates and 33% marks on average in Mathematics and Science for ST Candidates, from a recognized Institute/ board.
Candidate must register in www.dte.assam.gov.in for admission offered by SCTE.
The Maximum age limit for UR/OBC/MOBC is 20 years 6 months as on 31-12-2024, for SC/ST, maximum age limit is 23 years 6 months as on 31-12-2024 and for PH/PwD, maximum age limit is 25 years 6 months as on on 31-12-2024.
NOTE: No compartmental candidate will be allowed to take admission.
For Rank Generation Marks of Four Subjects (Maths, Science, English And Social Science) will be Considered.
Candidates must be an Indian Citizen and a Permanent resident of Assam . [Except son/daughter of central Govt. Employees). Permanent Resident Certificate (PRC) must be produced at the time of Counseling.
Physical Fitness (Optional): Candidate must be physically and mentally fit. Candidate will have to produce fitness Certificate at the time of admission from a registered medical practitioner as per enclosed format.
Eligibility for Sports Quota: Candidate must be a medal winner of State Games/ State Championships/ Tournaments organized by Assam Olympic Association/ State Sports Association/Directorate of Sports & Youth Welfare, Assam and will be decided in order of Medals of Gold/ Silver/ Bronze received.
The medals received by the candidates must be within the period of last 3 years.
Eligibility for NCC Quota: Selection of candidates for NCC category would be considered in order of merit as per NCC Examination Certificate.
NOTE: Candidates are asked to submit the documents of the NCC camp attendance. In case of tie in NCC certificate and grade, the camp attendance will be considered for deciding rank.
