They require 50% in Physics, Mathematics and the one of Chemistry, Biotechnology Biology or Technology in their 10+2 coursework (45% for reserved categories). It is necessary to have a valid MHT-CET or JEE Main score. As an alternative, applicants may apply if they have a 50% engineering Diploma During CAP rounds they have to select Sinhgad College, upload documents, and register on the DTE portal. The college directly fills 20% of seats at the institute level.

Among the many clubs and extracurricular activities offered by Sinhgad College of Engineering is the Sinhgad Student Council (SSC), which consists of 33 sub-clubs and 13 main clubs. Cultural, Technical, Robotics, Literary, NSS, Rotaract, Sports and IEEE are notable clubs. Dance, singing and competitions are all part of major events like SCOE Utsav Techtonic (a technological fest), and Sinhgad Karandak (a sports and cultural festival). In order to promote cooperation and creativity, students take part in national events such as Firodiya Karandak and robotics competitions.

Many of the highly competent faculty members at Sinhgad College of Engineering have earned M.Tech or PhD degrees from reputable universities. They have research and teaching expertise and through projects focused on the sector they offer useful insights. The student guardian programme provides guidance from friendly faculty members. However because of sporadic instructor turnover and administrative payment delays some students complain about uneven instruction. All things considered, the faculty is committed creating a favorable learning atmosphere through frequent workshops and technical assistance.
