SLS, Pandit Deendayal Energy University (PDEU) shortlists aspirants for UG courses based on aptitude test and creative writing test conducted by the school. Aspirants who have appeared for SAT can also apply. For PG programmes, the selection will be based on merit in the last qualifying exam. Selected candidates are further called for a personal interview round.

The percentage requirement varies course-wise at SLS PDEU. Candidates must fulfil the academic as well as percentage required to apply for any of the UG or PG programmes. Below is the eligibility criteria for top SLS PDEU courses:

SLS PDEU provides merit scholarship to UG students. Under the scholarship, students are offered half tuition fee waiver. Students can avail scholarship based on SLS admission test merit rank and subject to minimum 80% marks obtained in Class 12 exam. The same student would be eligible for scholarship based on his/ her SPI in succeeding semesters and also the student should not have any backlog or disciplinary actions taken on her/ him.

The School of Liberal Studies offers four-year undergraduate programs in B.A. (Hons.), B.B.A. (Hons.), and B.Com. (Hons.) with its initial two years of common academic education enables students to make an informed choice about their specializations for the following two years.

SLS also offers Master's programs in Public Administration, Politics and International Relations, English, Psychology, Economics, Mass Communication and Master of Commerce. The school also offers Ph.D. programs in Humanities, Arts, Social Sciences, Business Administration, and Commerce.

Yes, SLS PDEU conducts an entrance exam for admission to UG courses. The test include an aptitude test and creative writing. The duration of the written aptitude test of 50 marks for which time duration is 90 minutes. There are 100 questions in total. The written test is followed by Creative Essay Writing of 25 marks and 30 minutes duration. Aptitude has four sections, namely Verbal Abilities,  Quantitative Ability,  Logical Reasoning and General Knowledge.
