Review of St. Joseph College of Communication.
Placements: Students in our course didn't get good placements. Others got good placements. Only 20% of students got placed. Internships were useful.
Infrastructure: Classrooms and labs were good. The hostel facility was good, but the food was average. Medical facilities were good. Sports and games were available, but the ground was average. There was no Wi-Fi. The food at the canteen was average. There was a football field.
Faculty: Teachers were highly talented and knowledgeable. Students were not industry-ready. We didn't get the proper internal marks from the faculty.
Other: Campus life was very flexible. Our college organises events so that students don't get bored with the hectic syllabus.

Satisfied with facility .good infrastructure and facilities
Placements: Every student had to do an internship. They provide placements for students. After completing this course, we can do jobs in fields like Interior Designer, Graphic Designer, Art Director, Set Designer, and many other fields related to design. We get help from the college to make films.
Infrastructure: There is no hostel for girls. The college building is in Neo-classical style. The library is huge, and there are digital classrooms, a green room, a stop-motion lab, an interior lab, and a canteen. The food in the canteen is nice. They conduct events like student soccer matches to promote football among students, and there are volleyball and football courts.
Faculty: Teachers were friendly. As a newcomer, I became comfortable with the teachers; they showed videos and photos for teaching. Semester exams were not really tough. Teachers made internal exams and test papers to make students comfortable with the semester exams. Teachers were really helpful.

Disappointed with the placements.
Placements: Our batch had 0 placements and so did the earlier batch too. We've learned Photoshop, Interior Designing, 2D and 3D software and hand drawings, and material studies which were useful. Our college sends our batch to do internships in their 2nd year. Due to Corona, we had to do our internships in the third year. We had to look for companies that hire interns by ourselves and if we didn't get a company to hire us, the teachers would recommend us some companies where we could get a chance. This Visual Arts course mainly concentrated on Interior Designing. And hence, with this course, we were able to get job roles as 3D Visualiser or 2D Autocad Draftsman or Web Designer, Junior Interior Designer, Graphic Designer and so on.
Infrastructure: The library, classrooms and halls were fine. Boys had hostels but girls did not have any. Girls had to look for stays outside which is also suggested by the college. The stay I had was comfortable in the beginning. But they started to charge us an extra Rs 500 every year which wasn't necessary. The food provided there lacks taste. The college has a mess, a basketball court, and a small canteen or shop. Our college always had some kind of programs like sports, Onam celebration, and Christmas celebration. The course fee was Rs35,000 and the Paying Guest fee was separate.
Faculty: The teachers were helpful and mindful. They were interested to teach us. They helped us in every way possible. The materials taught in the college are useful and handy when in the fields. The college is under the MGU and in my view, the exams conducted here were okay.
