As per NEET, candidates seeking admission in UG/PG courses in Canara Bank Pu College, Bangalore can apply for admission in St. Peter's Engineering College. For UG Courses, candidate should have passed 10 + 2 examination with at least 45% aggregate marks in Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics (PCM) for General category candidates and 40% for SC/ST/OBC and other backward states candidates. They also have to provide valid score in the Telangana State Engineering Agriculture and Medical Common Entrance Test (TS EAMCET) /Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main. For PG courses, the candidate must have a bachelor's degree in the pertinent field with the academic average of fifty percent. The college also possess a counseling process for admission, it admitted 70% of the students based on TS EAMCET rank and the rest 30% through management quota.

For securing 98% of marks in 10+2 examination, the college offers full tuition fee concessions to the students. Also those students who have accumulated 95% to 97.9% may be granted 50 % tuition fee reduction. The college also provides scholarship of 25% tuition fee for those students who are scoring between 90% to 94.9%. Every batch, about 10 percentile students are given fully-exempted scholarship while the college offers scholarships of 1 crore Rupees annually.

Those candidates who get qualified in EAMCET or JEE Main can go for the counseling in which the students can select St. Peter's Engineering College as their choice college. However, any candidate is also eligible for direct admissions under Management Quota and the candidate who seeks this must have secured at least 50% marks in their respective 10+2 examination. The college also has a scholarship programme, according to which student who scored 98% or above in their 10+2 examination are given full scholarships.

Every year the college get about 5000-6000 students applying for the undergraduate programme for which about 840 students are admitted. The admission process is depends on the candidate's Rank secured in Engineering Agriculture Medical Common Entrance Test (EAMCET or JEE Main) and their 10+2 exam marks. The college has a privilege of EAMCET rank of between 10,000 and 15,000 and has cut-off mark of per cent of 60% to 70% for JEE Main.

The college currently employs 250 faculty members; 150 of them have a Ph.D., and 100 of them have M.Tech. The faculty members cover the teaching experience of around 10-15 years out of which the industry teaching experience is of about 20 years maximum. As of now, the college also has 20 outside faculty members recruited from IITs and NITs etc. The faculty members have many research interests and the institution has produced over 500 research papers in various journals and conferences over a period of five years.
