Its better after 2019 and all the things.
Placements: 65 to 75% are placed by the college. The highest Package is 8 LPA, the average package is 3.5 LPA, and the lowest Package is 1.5 LPA. TCS, Infosys, Capgemini, Tech Mahindra, Bosch. Almost all the students got the placement as a Data analyst or web developer.
Infrastructure: The classrooms are modern and well equipped with smart teaching aids, projectors, and audiovisual systems. Each department has specialized laboratories, including computer, electronics, and mechanical labs, with high speed Wi-Fi connectivity and LAN support. Hostel facilities are well maintained, with separate accommodation for boys and girls, offering single, double, and triple occupancy rooms, 24 hour security, and a doctor on call. The mess provides hygienic vegetarian and non vegetarian meals, while the canteen offers a variety of snacks and beverages. For sports and recreation, students have access to outdoor facilities like basketball, football, volleyball, and badminton, along with indoor games and a fully equipped gymnasium.
Faculty: Teacher are helpful, qualified, and knowledgeable. There teaching quality is good, its easy to revise the notes provided, making it easier to understand. The students are industry ready. The semester is perfect not to easy and not to hard The pass percentage is 95%.
Other: Not gonna lie, my percentile was according to the college criteria, and its near my house, so its easy to travel fully digitalised classes, its the best thing in the college.

4Placements5Infrastructure5Faculty5Crowd & Campus Life4Value for Money
College has good infrastructure, supportive faculty, with decent placements in core and allied field
Placements: Approximately 65-70% of the students from the Mechanical Engineering department are placed during campus placement drives. Some students also opted for higher studies or competitive exams. The highest package offered is 5.5 LPA, the average package is 3-4 LPA, and the lowest package is 2LPA. The top recruiting companies are Tata Technologies, TCS, Bosch, Triveni Turbines, Jindal Steel and Power.
Infrastructure: The labs are equipped with modern infrastructure and essential facilities to support both academic and practical learning, which include Heat Transfer, Material Testing, and CAD labs. The central library is extensive, with a good collection of Mechanical Engineering textbooks. The hostel is secure, and there is a separate hostel for boys and girls. The rooms are mostly shared with basic furniture. Cleanliness and maintenance are generally good, with regular housekeeping services. Annual sports events and inter-college tournaments are encouraged.
Faculty: Most of the faculty members in the Mechanical Engineering department are well-qualified (M.Tech or Ph.D. holders) and have solid command over their subjects. They are generally helpful and approachable outside class hours for doubt-solving, project guidance, and academic mentoring. The course builds strong fundamentals, but to be industry-ready, students are expected to take extra initiatives like internships, skill development courses (CAD, SolidWorks), and participation in ISHRAE or SAEINDIA projects.

Average college in the outskirts of Nagpur.
Placements: The highest package in our batch was 10 LPA. The lowest was around 3 LPA. I got around 4 LPA. The placement scene was pretty average, not good, not bad. Companies visited our campus, but they did not recruit many students. Only a few got placed. It was mainly due to the global recession. However, our college provided us with training for placements.
Infrastructure: Every facility was average. Classrooms were average. The library didn't have many books, and not enough books were available for every student. Labs were also average. We had to take our laptops to labs every time. Smart classroom facilities weren't available in all classrooms.
Faculty: The curriculum followed was the outdated curriculum of Rashtrasant Tukdoji Maharaj Nagpur University. Some faculty were good, but overall, it was really bad. The curriculum didn't make students industry-ready, but teachers had 100% expectations that all students get placed. Semester exams were easy.
Other: Sports and cultural events lasted only one week, which was very painful. The crowd was really poor. The campus was not good, and We didn't have good facilities for sports as well.

My college review is excellent because of the behaviour of the faculty.
Placements: 95% students have got placements from this course. Almost 9LPA to 4LPA average packages offered in mechanical engineering. 100% students got internships from this course as a Robotics Engineer and Mechanical Engineer in power plants, etc.
Infrastructure: There are excellent facilities provided by the department like high-speed Wi-Fi, Modern labs, and classrooms with good projector. Library provides each and every book related to this or any course. There are clean washrooms, classrooms, and watches in every classroom.
Faculty: There are good and excellent faculty members present for any type of problem. They play a major role in helping students. They are well educated from big universities, and they have excellent teaching qualities. This course is curriculum relevent. In semester exams, teachers give a question bank to the students, so students face a lower fear of exams. The pass percentage is 45%
Other: I chose mechanical engineering because I have always been curious about how machines work, from engines to robotics and manufacturing systems. I think the syllabus could improve. Some topics are outdated and need to include emerging areas like AI in manufacturing, 3d printing, etc. Every 3 months, the college provides hackathons and industrial visits for mechanical students, and there are good connections among all students and teachers. Every year, there are insights and festivals.

It has good infrastructure and decent placements but needs more industry exposure.
Placements: I am part of the B.Tech 2024 batch at SVPCET, Nagpur. Around 50% of students were placed, with packages ranging from 1.8 LPA to 8 LPA (avg.3.5 LPA). Top recruiters included TCS, Infosys, Capgemini, and Bosch. Nearly 80% of the students interned in similar companies, with roles like software development, system engineering, and core engineering positions.
Infrastructure: Campus facilities like Wi-Fi, labs, classrooms, and library are well-maintained and functioning, supporting academic needs effectively. The hostel is decent, with basic amenities and good security. Mess food is average but hygienic, and canteen offered better variety. Medical facilities are available with first aid and doctor visits. Sports infrastructure is decent, with regular events for indoor and outdoor games.
Faculty: Teaching quality at SVPCET is good, with most faculty members being supportive and knowledgeable. Course curriculum is fairly relevant and includes core subjects. However, some industry exposure and practical components could be improved. Semester exams are moderate and difficult, but with regular study, most students manage well. The overall pass percentage is quite high, generally around 85% to 90%.
Other: Best part about the course is the practical exposure through labs, coding contests, and supportive faculty. However, I wish there were more industry-liked projects, updated tools, and soft skill training. The college hosts several technical and cultural events, like Technozoin and Ignite, which are well-organized and bring good participation. The campus crowd is friendly and diverse. Connectivity to the campus is decent, though it is slightly on the outskirts. Surroundings are peaceful, which is good for focus. Scholarships are available for eligible students. Extracurricular activities like sports, music, and clubs are active and encouraged by the college.

Strict discipline and a mandatory 75% attendance policy.
Placements: The college has an active and supportive placement cell that works hard to connect students with top companies like TCS, Wipro, Capgemini, Cognizant, and L&T Infotech through regular campus recruitment drives. On average, students receive salary packages between 3.5 and 5 LPA, with the highest offers going up to 12 LPA.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure in college is okay, they don't let us use AC till 12 noon. In hostel, the food is good, they provide breakfast in the morning, tea in the evening, and of course lunch and dinner. Hostel league is held every year. All hostelite get divided into seven or more teams and compete for ranks. Hostel has good culture and discipline.
Faculty: Faculty members are all good, and curriculum is also up to date. Faculty members are qualified, supportive, and focus on both theory and practical learning. College offers solid infrastructure and a peaceful atmosphere conducive to focused study.
