Q: Can I get direct admission at SLS Pune?

SLS Pune offers admission to UG, PG and PhD programmes based on entrance exam scores of the candidates. SIU conducts SLAT and AIAT for admission to integrated Law and LLB/ LLM courses. Those who pass the test are further called for a personal interaction round. Besides, aspirants can get admission in Diploma programme directly based on their merit in the qualifying exam.

The registration of SLAT usually starts in December. Apart from this, complete schdeule of SLAT will be released on the official website. The SLAT application process includes the following steps:

The application process for all programmes at SLS Pune is done online. Fill the SLS Pune application form on the official website for the respective courses as given above.
The college shortlists candidates for Integrated Law programmes based on their SLAT score. The university conducts AIAT for admission to LLM and LLB programmes. Selected candidates have to pass the PI round for admission.
After all selection rounds are over, the institute notifies a final merit list.
Candidates shortlisted according to the merit lists have to report at the campus for document verification. Aspirants also need to pay the SLS Pune fee to confirm their seat.

Pretty decent private law college in Pune.

Placements: Our college, being one of the best in the country, provides its students with one of the best placement opportunities from tier 1 and 2 law firms, with pretty decent packages. Offers of in house counsels and bank legal team offers also come. College also helps in getting good internships.

Infrastructure: College also provides its students with one of the best possible infrastructures, including some really big reading halls and well-equipped libraries. Libraries have some great reference books. It provides a good health care centre with free services and well-equipped gyms too.

Faculty: College has a long history since its establishment. They hold a legacy of giving some really great legal minds in the country. They have some great teaching professionals. Some have experience of more than 20 years, making teaching very easy and interesting.

The college name is good, but the college itself is not.

Placements: Top companies do come and recruit people every year, but only a few get selected from a batch of 450 students. They have an erroneous criterion of minimum GPA. Even if a person is highly skilled, with a low GPA, they can't sit in the placements.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure is bad. There are no good air conditioning or coolers, making it quite hot during the day. Additionally, health facilities are basic and bad, as they only provide general medications like Calpol without proper care. There are extra charges for consultations with specialists.

Faculty: Faculty, though very helpful and good, sometimes have differences, but that's okay. The curriculum is really very hectic, and the deadlines given are very close, leaving almost no time for ourselves throughout the semester or for other self-development activities. We have 11 subjects in the 4th semester.

Placements: Symbiosis Law School of Pune is the oldest and very first in Symbiosis chain. It provides its enrolled students with one of the best placement opportunities from top-tier firms across the country, and not just firms but banks and other companies for in-house counsel opportunities are also there.

Infrastructure: Being the best it also provides one of the best infrastructures possible to its students like well-equipped gyms and great trainers. We have recreational rooms along with really big reading halls. There are well-stocked libraries. Along with that, we are also provided with some great facilities like central Wi-Fi and great research tools.

Faculty: Being the oldest it holds a legacy of some great legal minds be it students from across the country or teaching professionals, having experience of more than 20 years in their respective fields. Thus making process of teaching and understanding the subjects much easier and interesting for us while being intrigued to know more.

Five-year course at Symbiosis Law School, Pune.

Placements: Throughout the entire 5-year course, we were able to understand the seriousness of placements and their demands only in the final or pre-final year. At that stage, it is really hard to secure good offers without internships. However, some students without internship experience manage to get offers of around 3.6 LPA.

Infrastructure: I am really fulfilled with the aesthetic nature of the college, which makes me feel calm and peaceful when thinking about my career growth. The college has a good name in the market and is well known among the public. The college also helps students find the right path for their careers.

Faculty: Our teachers are excellent textbook leaders, like bookworms, rather than explaining the concepts in an understandable way. They ask students to memorize the concepts and write examinations. However, to test our understanding, twisted questions were asked in the model examinations.
