SLS Pune Admission 2026: Application, Eligibility, Fee & Dates

SLS Pune offers admission to UG, PG and PhD programmes based on entrance exam scores of the candidates. SIU conducts SLAT and AIAT for admission to integrated Law and LLB/ LLM courses. Those who pass the test are further called for a personal interaction round. Besides, aspirants can get admission in Diploma programme directly based on their merit in the qualifying exam.

The requirement of entrance exam varies course-wise. Aspirants need to pass SLAT for admission to Integrated Law programmes - BA LLB (Hons) and BBA LLB (Hons). For LLB and LLM, candidates must pass AIAT conducted by SIU. Besides, candidates do not require passing an entrance exam for admission to Diploma programme. 

The requirement of SLAT varies course-wise. Candidates seeking admission in BA LLB (Hons) or BBA LLB (Hons) courses must have a valid SLAT score for admission. However, SLAT is not required for any other offered programmes. SIU conducts SLAT or Symbiosis Law Admission Test once in a year in computer-based mode. Those who pass the test are further required to qualify the PI round for admission.

Symbiosis Law School Pune offers a five-year BA LLB programme at the undergraduate level. The full form of BA LLB is Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Legislative Law. This programme combines Bachelor of Arts courses such as history, sociology, and languages with professional legal knowledge. The BA LLB curriculum is spread across ten semesters.

Aspirants who have passed 1-year master's degree after a 4 year UG degree or a 2 year master's degree after a 3 years bachelor's degree with at least 55% aggregate are eligible to apply for PhD programme at SLS Pune. There is a relaxation of 5% in the aggregate for SC, ST and Differently-Abled candidates.

Candidates who have passed Class 12 from any recognised board and pursuing a 5-year Law programme in any Law college in Pune (For courses other than Law, aspirants need to be graduate from any recognised university and meet other criteria prescribed by SIU) are eligible to apply for Diploma programme offered at SLS Pune.

To apply for the LLB (Hons) in Symbiosis Law School Pune candidates completes the application process of  application process for SLAT. Symbiosis International (Deemed University) conducts SLAT annually for Symbiosis Law School Pune LLB admission. 

To complete the application process, candidates have to register for SLAT 2026, pay the application fee, and proceed with the part two of the application form. Next, in part two of the SLAT application process 2026, they need to select a law course among BA LLB (Hons.) BBA LLB (Hons.), BA LLB and BBA LLB, and the preferred SLS to complete the SLAT application form 2026.

SLS Pune offers admissions is entrance based. However, merit is considered for Diploma courses. The final seat is alloted on the basis of scores in entrance test followed by PI, depending on the course. Check the table to know the selection requirement of SLS Pune: 

For BA LLB (Hons)/ BBA LLB (Hons), candidates need to apply for both SLS Pune and SLAT registration. Aspirants need to pay the fee for both as those who will register only for SLAT will not be eligible to participate in the PI process. Candidates have to pay INR  2,250 for SLAT and INR 1,000 for the course. Below-mentioned is the application process:

The answer to this depends upon the qualification of candidates and how they perform in the Symbiosis Law Admission Test (SLAT) exam 2026. Students who has Class 12 or equivalent examination from any recognised board with a minimum of 45% marks or equivalent grade are eligible for appearing for the SLAT exam 2025. Based on the scores of SLAT, candidates are shortlisted by the SLS. The selected candidates have to then appear for Personal Interview (PI) and Written Ability Test (WAT). Further, based on the scores of SLAT, PI and WAT a merit list is drawn for admission in respective Symbiosis law schools. 

SIU offers Merit Scholarship to students pursuing BA LLB (5 students) and BBA LLB (10 students) from SLS Pune. The scholarship is offered to meritorious students who have appeared for Symbiosis Law Admission Test or SLAT. 

No, the university do not accept CLAT score for admission to the LLM course. It accepts AIAT score for admission to LLM course. AIAT is conducted by SIU for admission to LLM programme. Aspirants who have passed AIAT have to further qualify the Personal Interaction round for final admission.

Symbiosis International University (SIU) conducts the Symbiosis Law School All India Admission Test for admission to the LLM course every year. To apply for SLS entrance exam, candidates must have cleared five-year of three-year LLB degree from a recognised university with a minimum of 45% aggregate in case of General category candidate.

For candidates belonging to SC or ST category, the minimum required percentage is 40%. Also, the candidates whose LLB results are awaited can register for the entrance test. Provided, they will have to submit their passing certificate at the time of admission to the university.
