SLAT 2026 Counselling
The SLAT 2026 counselling is conducted for admission to SLS institutes. SIU does not conduct the counselling process. The individual SLS institutes released their merit list for admission to the 5-year LLB courses on different dates. Check the admission schedule of SLS Pune, SLS Nagpur, SLS Noida, and SLS Hyderabad at the official website of the individual institutes. The SLS campuses are releasing the merit list on the basis of the SLAT scores and performance in the PI round.

The Symbiosis Internation Law University has discontinued Writing Ability Test from the SLAT Admission Process. For the current SLAT 2026 admissions cycle, and since the 2025 cycle, the selection process is based solely on a candidate's performance in the main SLAT entrance exam and a subsequent Personal Interview (PI) round.
SLAT exam authority uses University Grants Commission (UGC) guidelines for SLAT reservation policy. As per the exam authority, the total percentage of reserved seats for Scheduled Caste (SC) candidates is 15. The total percentage of seats reserved for Scheduled Tries candidates in SLAT is 7.5%. The exam authority has reserved 5% of seats for wards of Defence Personnel at Symbiosis Law School Pune. The reservation facility for wards of Defence personnel is not available at the other three Symbiosis Law Schools. Moreover, 3% of total seats are reserved for Different Able candidates in all SLSs through SLAT.
Each SLS has released its schedule to conduct the Personal Interview. The University will conduct the Personal Interview online. Candidates must check the schedule as each SLS has its own dates.
SLAT 2026 Result Date
SLAT result was declared for both Test 1 and Test 2 on the official website on January 15, 2026. Candidates had to provide SLAT ID (or SET ID) and the password to download the SLAT 2026 scorecards. It is an important document required at the time of counselling. It contains details such as Name of the candidate, Roll number, Rank secured, Category rank. SIU will issue it in the form of a PDF document.

Yes, candidates can get admission to four law colleges or schools at Symbiosis International University based on their SLAT scores. These law schools are Symbiosis Law School Pune, Symbiosis Law School Noida, Symbiosis Law School Nagpur, and Symbiosis Law School Hyderabad. These four Symbiosis Law Schools are among the top law colleges in India. Other colleges do not accept SLAT scores. If a candidate wants to take a law entrance exam based on which he or she can apply to multiple law colleges, he or she can take the CLAT or LSAT-India. The scores of the two law entrance exams are accepted by many law colleges for admission.
SLAT 2026 Application Dates
The SLAT 2026 registration process concluded in November 2025. The SLAT application process was conducted online at the official website, slat-test.org. For the purpose of form filling, a scanned copy of a clear passport-size photo and signature was mandatory to be uploaded to the SLAT application portal. Other documents, such as a category certificate, proof of residence, and date of birth proof, like a class 10th certificate, were also required for registration.
Note: It was at the discretion of the candidates to choose on which of the two days (SLAT Test Day 1 or SLAT Test Day 2) they wanted to appear for the law entrance exam.

The SLAT 2026 exam was held in two sessions in CBT mode. The SLAT Test 1 was conducted on December 20, and SLAT Test 2 was held on December 28, 2026. SLAT test was conducted for granting admission to Symbiosis Law Schools (SLS) located in Pune, Noida, Hyderabad, and Nagpur. Candidates willing to seek admission in the 5-year LLB courses, such as BA LLB (Hons.), BBA LLB (Hons.), BA LLB, and BBA LLB should appear for this exam. The SLAT Test is held for a duration of 60 minutes. No, SLAT is conducted only one attempt in a year. You can't take the test twice in the same admission cycle. The score from that single attempt is used for admission to all Symbiosis Law Schools. If you want to try again, you can apply next year when the new SLAT exam opens.
The number of SLAT practise sets depends on the number of practise sets an aspirant solves. If you want to solve fewer practise sets, then one month is enough to practise them. However, if you want to solve 30–40 practise sets of SLAT, then you need 2-3 months to do so. This much time will allow you to solve one practise set multiple times. As a result, you will learn about almost all the important concepts and topics from which questions are asked in the SLAT exam. Aspirants preparing for the SLAT also need to know the SLAT syllabus and practise topics related to it to score well in the entrance exam.
