Why I should've gone with another college instead of the current one.
Placements: I have yet to experience the placement season of my college, but from what I have heard from my seniors, the placements aren't that great. Most of the companies hire either for sales or backend roles. Most of them preferred off-campus placements, and most of us got internships since they were paid, but they were not worth it.
Infrastructure: To my knowledge, our college doesn't have a hostel, while the infrastructure itself is kind of average, nothing great of that sort. The library is great, and the canteen was recently renovated, with the classrooms also being average, with some classes having digital boards.
Faculty: Few of the faculty members are really helpful and great teachers if you can connect with them or ask for a career counseling they might assist you with that and might be helpful. Whilst the learning part is boring with some teachers. The curriculum of the university doesn't make the students anywhere near industry ready it does provide a little basic knowledge about the field. The University exams are the worst most of the students feel like they have been given lesser marks than they deserve also they internationally cut marks providing students with even less marks.
Other: I chose this course because I felt I needed the basic postgraduate knowledge for my career in finance, and that's all. I would definitely love it if the teaching methods and a few of the faculty members were to be replaced, while the events are somewhat decent, and the crowd is not that great. The location of the college makes it worse to commute to college daily.

It is the best college and is helpful for placements.
Placements: 70 percent of students get placed here. The highest package offered is 3 LPA. The lowest package offered is 2 LPA, and the average package offered is 1.5 LPA. As per my course, I have been selected at Amazon for an in-charge role. Many students got placed in different companies like Amazon, TCS, etc.
Infrastructure: Classrooms are the best. Labs and the library are also the best. The library provides books to carry with us. In sports, the college is the best. It organises many sports events at the inter-college level, and outside college students also participate in it and enjoy it.
Faculty: Teachers are knowledgeable and helpful to students. They helped us a lot during the start of semester exams and helped till the end of the semester. They support us mentally and help us out with problems. I hope that they are the real example of helpfulness.

It is a decent college with decent enough faculty. 2025 is the first year with good placements.
Placements: For the batch of 2025, 50% of students get placed. The highest package is 3 LPA. The top recruiters are TCS, Bajaj, and Motilal Oswal. Internships are not provided by the college. We have to find off-campus ones. The top roles offered are Relationship Manager, Sales Manager, and BPO.
Infrastructure: Facilities and infrastructure are pretty great. The library is also great, and the classrooms are decent. There is Wi-Fi on every floor and in every department. A hostel is not available. The canteen food is decent enough. The sports events are good and very much recommended.
Faculty: Teachers are more or less qualified enough for the course. They are very helpful and knowledgeable too. The teaching quality is 8/10. The course curriculum is relevant and makes students industry-ready. The semesters are pretty difficult, and you have to study really hard. The pass percentage is somewhere around 70%.
Other: I chose this course because my seniors from school and teachers recommended that it suit me, so I chose this course. I wish I could arrange a PPT day every week for the students to increase their skills. Events and fests are top-notch.

It organises an annual fest with popular celebrities and inter-college competitions.
Placements: Companies come to college to provide placements. Students who score higher CGPA are already placed. Students who have good academic records will receive the highest package from very well-known companies. Here, companies like TCS, Infosys, Aditya Birla, etc., hire students for internships, and internships are very much offered. The summer internship program is also offered by the college.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the college is awesome and the area of the college is vast, so we can sit in the fresh air. There are a lot of greenery surroundings on the campus. The college provides lift for students which is very helpful for physically challenged students. Classrooms are very neat and clean. Smart classrooms are also provided.
Faculty: Teachers are responsible enough and helpful also. They are communicable when we need them. Teachers are friendly in nature. Many male teachers are there who treat their students like younger brothers or sisters.
Other: The campus is pleasant with a lot of greenery surroundings. It has a ground, a basketball court, and ample places to sit with friends in the open.

The curriculum is strong, but faculty support lack fairness.
Placements: Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) is one of the biggest recruiters at our college. Around 20-30% of students get internships. The most common roles offered are marketing, human resources (HR), and finance. Beyond academics, participating in extracurricular activities, networking events, and internships makes a huge difference in standing out to recruiters.
Infrastructure: Our college offers a well-structured, spacious infrastructure. While students don’t have access to Wi-Fi, the library stands out as the most beautiful and peaceful place on campus. Sports facilities are a major highlight, with two turfs and a large ground available for outdoor sports, along with two common rooms for indoor sports.
Faculty: The teaching experience is not very supportive. Many students feel favoritism among the faculty, which makes it difficult for everyone to receive equal attention and guidance. Teachers are not very helpful, which forces students to rely on self-study to understand the concepts.
Other: Our college is known only for events.

It is a vibrant hub for academic excellence and innovation.
Placements: Around 60% of students got been placed in top-notch organisations or in companies every year. The highest package offered till now is 21 LPA. The minimum package offered is 2 LPA. The average package ranges from 8-10 LPA. TCS, EY, Startek, Wipro, Sun Knowledge, etc., are currently the top recruiting companies in Kolkata. Around 30-40% of students get internships and mostly it is from only TCS and in between Amazon is showing interest in the college as well. The top roles offered are financial analyst or business development executive.
Infrastructure: Many facilities are provided to students by our college. We have a computer science laboratory, microbiology, etc. There are audio-visual room, multipurpose hall, girls' and boys' common room, playground, and college bus service. The hostel is pretty clean. Eatables in the canteen are prepared under hygienic conditions and are of good quality as well. Medical facilities are also pretty fast. There is a lot of space and opportunity for the youngest to pursue their career in sports as well.
Faculty: Teachers at college are generally considered helpful, qualified, and knowledgeable. The college is known for its faculty members who are experts in their field and are dedicated to helping students succeed. The teaching quality is considered very good. The course curriculum is very relevant. It provides in-depth knowledge of commerce, preparing students for real-world scenarios and making them competitive in the job market. Semester exams are of average difficulty level but can be pretty tough. In the academic year 2023-2024, 629 students pass the university examinations.
Other: I chose this course because I have always been passionate about business and management. The best thing about the course is its versatility. Nothing should be improved and it should just try to increase the salary as per the requirements. Everything is well-organised in the college. We will see 3 main events in a year. There are different types of fests. The campus is always filled with students. There are so many students who are getting scholarships every year.
