Thadomal Shahani Engineering College (TSEC) is recognised for its emphasis on placements, facilitated by a specialised Training and Placement Cell that coordinates annual placement sessions. However, the assertion of achieving "100% placements" might not be entirely accurate. Although the TSEC website presents data on the number of students placed, it does not explicitly guarantee employment for every student. In 2023, the highest package offered was INR 19.63 LPA for Computer Engineering and Information Technology branches, highlighting robust placement prospects in these areas. While TSEC aims for elevated placement rates, the precise percentage and specifics may fluctuate.

Pursuing a B.E. degree at Thadomal Shahani Engineering College is considered moderately hard, with the curriculum and difficulty of exams depending on the guidelines of the Mumbai University. The academic schedule is moderate, with easy exam preparations and practical teaching methods. The college has well-maintained laboratories with the latest equipment, but there is no hostel facility provided, and students have to find accommodation on their own. The college has medical facilities, which is a positive aspect. The fees for the B.E. programme at Thadomal Shahani Engineering College are INR 1,89,000 for the first year and INR 1,86,000 for the second, third, and fourth years. The college has a small campus with only two buildings, one of which is 11 stories high. The classrooms are air-conditioned, but some of them have issues with the air-conditioning system. The canteen is combined for both MMK and Thadomal colleges, and the food is described as average. The college has security measures, including guards and CCTV cameras, and outsider entry requires no permission. The college is accessible via nearby transportation stands.
