M.Sc. in Geology - Batch of 2026

The era of many years.
Placements: In my course, geology has a total of 45 members, both regular and self-financed students. The fee structure difference between regular students is approximately 25,000, and for self-financed students, it is 35,000. There are no placements in geology, so there is no company recruitment in college. Out of 45, 10 members got internship opportunities. There is no recruitment in my geology department.
Infrastructure: Coming to infrastructure, the facilities are very good and comfortable for studying. My department has lab facilities as well as library facilities. As for the Wi-Fi facility, almost all the university has Wi-Fi available for all the students. Mess facilities are number 1. I give a 5-star rating to the mess and canteen. Overall, all the facilities are provided by the university.
Faculty: In my geology course, the teachers are very well qualified, with qualifications such as JRF entrance and NET UGC, etc. Some teachers are working on a contract basis. The course curriculum is relevant, interesting, and knowledgeable. It definitely prepares the students for the industry. Semester examinations are, as usual, tough according to university examination criteria, and the pass percentage is about 99 percent, as almost all students pass every year.
Other: We have a lot of things to enjoy on campus with my friends and batchmates, and we have fests like farewell and freshers' parties.

The Backbone of Telangana Freedom Udyamala Puritigadda Osmania University.
Placements: 70% occupancy of students in class every day, we have at least 75% attendance per semester. Companies have fewer or no Internships from GSI and NGRI, and remote sensing from other state and central private companies offering internships to students, and a cent company also provides placement for geology students not in Osmania but in Kakatiya University. In my course, there are 45 students in my class, of these, 5 to 7 members will be interested in going to internships. NIT only, my batch and almost all the batches have the same percentage of students will get to internships.
Infrastructure: In my class, there are facilities like a blackboard, another marker board, a smart TV for PPT presentation, and a projector. We have all these facilities with good faculty, a Mess also very good in Kaveri hostel, has a gym and ground for exercise, and we have a special hospital for 1st year PG students, and also we use Rtc hospital for free for all the Osmania students.
Faculty: Teachers are highly qualified. Professors are very knowledgeable Ph.D. scholars, and GATE qualified teachers are available in geology. Almost all the students 96%, pass the exam. Fewer students will discontinue or not attend the exam, and very few will fail the examination.

My review about this college.
Placements: Placements are decent, fairly good. The college faculty try hard. Won’t say they are too good or too bad. More than 75% of students get placed every year, based on the past few years’ data. A variety of companies come to the college, such as various pharmaceuticals, pathological labs, TCS, WIPRO, etc. Students have opportunities in both the private sector as well as the government sector. Almost everyone was placed in one company or another. The highest pay package is INR 12 LPA (one student). The average pay package is INR 3.5 LPA. The minimum pay package is INR 2.5 LPA. Internship opportunities are really good.
Infrastructure: The course offered by the university was appropriate and according to all national level examinations. All the topics about the electives had many choices, and students can choose according to their need and future. The difficulty level increased with the semesters. The hostel facilities and mess food are really absolutely good. Water and power are available 24 hours. There are CCTV cameras and watchmen for security purposes. The hostel facilities are very nice; many of them would like to stay in the hostel. The rooms are sweetly nice and they give a very good experience.
Faculty: The faculty is best in our college. All are highly qualified and well prepared for topics. They are good at teaching those topics in such a manner that everyone could understand. We have also done well in exams because of the faculty. There are separate faculty members for each and every subject. Most of the faculty members are very experienced in their subject area. In internals and externals, they are very strict as it has autonomous standards. It was well balanced, we had 2 semesters every year and 2 internals every semester with no other exams.
