Diploma in Information Technology - Batch of 2025

Good infrastructure, supportive faculty members, and decent campus life.
Placements: In diploma courses, a majority of students prefer to continue their studies and take admission into engineering degree programs through lateral entry, so the number of students sitting for placement is limited. Still, the college provides placement assistance and conducts recruitment drives. Around 20% of students opted for jobs.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure for my course and department is satisfactory and supports both academic learning and practical exposure. Classrooms are spacious, equipped with projectors, smart board, and comfortable seating, which makes learning easier. Our department also has dedicated computer labs with updated systems, licensed software, and decent internet access. Wi-Fi is available across the campus. It also has a large library with collection of textbooks, reference materials. However, there is no hostel in our college.
Faculty: Faculty members are helpful, approachable, and qualified. Their teaching style is clear and supportive. They combined theory with practical examples, making concepts easier to understand. The curriculum follows the latest university guidelines and is relevant to current industry needs. It includes subjects like programming, databases, and emerging technologies such as AI and data science. Semester exams are moderately difficult. Students who attend lectures and study regularly can pass without much stress.
Other: The course has good value for money as the fee is reasonable compared to the quality of teaching, infrastructure, and placement opportunities. Scholarships are available for eligible students, which is a big help. Campus life is vibrant with cultural fests, technical events, and sports activities that keep students engaged throughout the year. Crowd is diverse and friendly, and seniors are generally supportive. Connectivity to the campus is decent. I am from course of information technology (IF), and I chose this course because of my interest in technology and career opportunities. The best part of this course is its balanced theory and practical sessions.

Diploma in Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering - Batch of 2024

Vidyalankar is a great college.
Placements: 70% to 85% were placed in my college. The highest package was 1,200,000, and the lowest package was 600,000, which is offered in my course. I don't have an idea if regular companies offer my course. 50% of students got internships from this course as a manager and in many sectors like IT offices.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of Vidyalankar Polytechnic is the best. The whole campus has Wi-Fi, the labs are the best, classrooms have smart boards, and the library is great. There is no hostel in my college, but the canteen, medical service, and sports facilities are also very good.
Faculty: The teachers are very helpful with the exams, and the teaching quality is also great. They are very helpful in my course. There is an initial visit for some research on industries. The semester is divided into colleges, and the pass percentage of my college is 90%.
Other: I chose Vidyalankar College because it gives me the best facilities, campus life, and teaching experience. The campus crowd is the best, and the connectivity is also good. The surroundings are great, and they offer great scholarships. Students also participate in extracurricular activities like social gatherings and social service.

Diploma in Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering - Batch of 2019

I absolutely love the environment, and the faculty is also good.
Placements: Around 60% of students were placed after completing their Diploma in Electronics and Telecommunication at our college. I completed my Diploma in 2019 but chose to pursue a B.Tech in Electronics, which is why I rejected the offer letter from Siemens. The remaining 20 students who were selected had an overall percentage of 70% or above.
Infrastructure: Labs were well-equipped with all the necessary instruments and equipment for our experiments. There were separate labs for each subject. Lab assistants were also helpful. Canteen food was above average. I didn't see any medical faculty, as I didn't require their services during my 3 years. Sports days were organized by the faculty between February and March.
Faculty: Internal exams were held before the external exams, so that we could get time to practice for both the viva and written exams. Faculty was supportive and helpful. One concern was that, they used to prepare the notes, but we had to purchase them separately from the college stationery shop. Semester examinations were pretty easy, as the faculty had already prepared us well. The issue with attendance was that students with less than 60% attendance were not allowed to give the exams without parental consultation.
Other: Our batch consists of 60 students. The only thing which should have improved is the quality of learning, by having smaller batches. Sometimes it gets difficult to train 60 students all at once.

Vidyalankar Through Students POV.
Placements: The college offers a variety of placements with good packages that are suited best according to the caliber. Top roles offered include website management and project leader, etc. Campus interviews are held, and it helps in improving interview confidence for students.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi is available in all areas of the college, and outstation students are helped with the hostel situation. It's a very easy process, and proper guidance is provided by all faculty members. The cafeteria food is great, and other facilities like a clubhouse, etc., are provided.
Faculty: Teachers and other faculty members are highly qualified and provide proper guidance, impacting the students' lives greatly. Every step of the semester is properly guided, and all information and notes are provided beforehand. The process is very easy and helpful.

Diploma in Computer Engineering - Batch of 2017
4.2

Good college, mediocre staff, good facilities.
Placements: Most of the students were placed, but I wanted to pursue my degree, so I didn't apply for campus placement. Many roles were offered, such as software engineer and hardware engineer. The management was very good, to say the least, and the process was also smooth according to my friends.
Infrastructure: There are fully air-conditioned classrooms, and smartboards are equipped in all classrooms. The labs are also good but have really old processors that take a lot of time to load. There are many canteens and vending machines, and the toilets are well maintained.
Faculty: The teaching quality is good, but some teachers mispronounce words and fail to frame grammatically correct sentences. They often just read notes and leave the class. The curriculum is better than opting for 11th-12th, as it includes technical education and covers a lot of syllabus for the degree. The exams are manageable; if you study, you'll pass.

Placements are good. Good infrastructure and faculty.
Placements: Almost 70% students who applied for this college after 10th, are placed. The highest package offered is 75,000 and the average package is 40,000. TCS might be the top recruiting company as per my knowledge. As internships are compulsory for second year students, each and every student gets internship in a company.
Infrastructure: The washrooms are clean with the girls washrooms having sanitary pad machines installed. The college provides clean rooms, air conditioned rooms and labs along with good working PCs. The canteen food is great as the college has 3-4 canteens. The playground is small, yet there are 3 grounds, for football, badminton and cricket.
Faculty: All the teachers are helpful and good. All of them are highly qualified. They are friendly. As the exams are held by the government, the college tries it’s best to make sure that the unit tests aren't difficult. Yet all of the questions are covered in the exams. The college arranges industrial visits every year.
