VIT University: A place that you cannot miss in your lifetime.

Placements: The basic eligibility for sitting in the placement is to have a minimum CGPA of 7, and you have to have a score above 65% in your 10th and 12th grades. The highest package is 16 LPA, and the average is around 4-6 LPA. Top recruiters include Deloitte, Empower, NielsenIQ, and many other top MNCs.

Infrastructure: All the classrooms are air-conditioned and smart classrooms, with projectors and speakers, and arch classrooms with rolling chairs. Every room is equipped with Wi-Fi facilities. All the hostel rooms are highly maintained, and AC and non-AC rooms are available. All the rooms in the hostel have Wi-Fi connectivity. You have different types of mess options like veg, non-veg, and special.

Faculty: All the teachers at VIT are Ph.D. scholars and also professional industry personnel. All the faculty are very supportive of the career and friendly. The curriculum is up to date and approved by UGC. All the current skills the industry expects are provided to the students from time to time. The college conducts 3 main exams per semester, and the exams are moderate to difficult. Teachers will equip us to attend the exams and achieve very good marks.

Other: As starting a career in business administration is related to doing an MBA, and an MBA will cost around 15-20 lakhs, spending less on a BBA will be a very good option. A university like VIT has a brand value and face value. The college life in VIT is very vibrant, and there are many cultural fests happening frequently on the campus.

Bachelor of Business Administration at VIT University.

Placements: For BBA, the placements are good according to their fee structure. More than 90 percent of students were placed. The highest package is 4 to 5 LPA, and a maximum of 2 students only get this. Others will get average and low. The average package is 3 LPA and the lowest is 2 LPA. Most startups from Bangalore and Chennai come for placement. Mostly the roles offered are Sales and Business Development. Sometimes Finance, but rarely. They don't provide any internships; you should search for them on your own.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure is really very good. They have good labs for students. Also, our college provides free Wi-Fi, but sometimes the signal is weak. They have a well-advanced, high-class library. I'm not a hosteller, so I don't know much about the hostel facilities. The rooms are neat and clean. The food was of average quality.

Faculty: The teachers are well-educated, and all of them hold Ph.D. degrees from top universities like IIM, and IIT. The course curriculum is related to industry readiness. Passing the semester is not that difficult. If you start preparing for the exam 2 days before, you can easily crack it. Our university follows relative grading, which means your grade is based on the class average mark.

Other: I chose VIT because VIT is well known for its reputation and rankings.

A very good and decent college with nice infrastructure and lovely campus life.

Placements: VIT is known for having good placements. For example, in 2024, two students received the highest salary package of INR 88 Lacs per annum. The average package is around 10 Lacs per annum. All of this information is about VIT Vellore campus only. In 2023, the highest package was INR 1.02 CPA.

Infrastructure: A/C labs and a large library both are the highlights, I feel. It has the world's largest Thirukkural book ever made, which is located in the library. The full campus is very cool as there are many trees in it. Greenery all around the campus. Vellore as a city is very hot, but inside the campus, it doesn’t feel so.

Faculty: Faculty members are decent, but a few have the North-South bias (I personally feel that). But there are a few really good faculty members who are available all the time when students need them. All doubts are easily cleared. They teach you in either of the languages you talk in—Hindi, Tamil, or English.

MBA from the VIT Business School, Vellore.

Placements: Approximately 40-45% of the students get placements in the MBA at VIT Vellore. The average package offered in our course was between 3-5 LPA. Students of our college are getting multiple on-campus placement opportunities. Top recruiting companies are Black Rock, Deloitte, Accenture, Cognizant, etc.

Infrastructure: Campus of VIT Vellore is very good. This college is having a very good infrastructure. Labs, library, canteen, Wi-Fi, and various other necessary facilities are available in the college for the students. The college has a cricket ground, volleyball court, and sports facilities for the students.

Faculty: Really well-qualified and knowledgeable faculty is available at this college. Teachers were supporting all the students. Regular discussions and industry visits are organized for the students. The course curriculum of our college is relevant and makes students job-ready. Semester exams are of easy difficulty level.

Helpful teachers and placements.

Placements: I have experienced that placements are above average in the college. The highest package offered by the college is 15 LPA and the lowest package offered is 4 LPA. Placements cell help us in preparation of interviews. The recruiting companies are Hdfc, Faber, Hcl, Cub, Tcs, etc.

Infrastructure: The college keeps its infrastructure very well maintained but we business people have a different department. There are facilities which involves classrooms with modern facilities, computer labs also. Hostels provides us amenities which involves mess facility, hygienic washrooms, bedrooms, etc.

Faculty: In our college most of the teachers are helpful and they have knowledge of their respective subjects. I like their style of teaching. The course curriculum offers us value based study. And the curriculum makes the students industry ready. Exams are also not that hard to pass.

Placements: What I would say about the placement is that it is pretty average in our department, as only 85% of the students get placements. The median package offered by the college is 8 LPA. There are also companies that offer us internships. Recruiting companies include TCS, HCL, Accenture, EY, etc.

Infrastructure: The infrastructural facilities offered for our department are really good. We have separate classrooms, computer labs, and Wi-Fi facilities. There are sports grounds where various indoor as well as outdoor sports can be played. Hostel facilities are available at a reasonable price. There are also different cafeterias available.

Faculty: I do not relate to the professors that much because some of them are good at teaching, but some are not. They are not very helpful. The course curriculum, in my opinion, is good and offers us value, and it also helps to kickstart our career. Exams are not that difficult to pass.
