- Candidates should have passed any other examination conducted by Boards/Councils/Intermediate education established by the State Government/Central Government and recognised as equivalent to the two-year pre-university examination by RGUHS/Association of Indian Universities (AIU), with English as one of the subjects, and Physics, Chemistry, and Biology as optional subjects, and the candidate should have passed English, Physics, Chemistry, and Biology separately.
- Candidates must have obtained a minimum of not less than 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English taken together in the qualifying examination. For candidates belonging to the Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes or other backward classes, the marks obtained in Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English taken together in the qualifying examination should not be less than 40% instead of 50%.
- Candidates should have completed 17 years on or before the 31st day of December, of the year of admission.
