EAMCET 2014: Eligibility
EAMCET (Engineering, Agriculture and Medical Common Entrance Test), EAMCET is a national level examination conducted by Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University (JNTU), Hyderabad. The exam is used for admissions to various undergraduate professional courses offered by various Universities/Private colleges in Andhra Pradesh.
EAMCET 2014 is scheduled to be conducted on May 17, 2014 and the application process for the same commenced on February 20. The last date to submit the online application forms without late fee is April 4, 2014.
To apply for the exam, students must have passed Class 12 board exam or intermediate exam with Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry. However, there are other parameters too, that students should comply with. Given below are the same:
Eligibility:
For engineering courses:
- Applicants should not be less than 16 years on December 31, 2014
- Applicants should have appeared for or passed Class 12 board exam or intermediate exam with Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry
- Applicants should have at least 45% aggregate marks in above-specified subjects. Reserved category students should have at least 40% aggregate marks.
- Applicants should not be less than 17 years or more than 25 years on December 31, 2014.
- Applicants should have appeared for or passed Class 12 board exam or intermediate exam with Physics, Chemistry and Biology. For agricultural or horticultural course aspirants, it is necessary to have agriculture or related vocational course in the qualifying exam.
- Medical aspirants must have at least 50% aggregate marks in Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English. Reserved category students should have at least 40% aggregate marks.
For B. Sc (Agri.)/ B. Sc (Horti.) & medical courses:
- Applicants should not be less than 17 years or more than 25 years on December 31, 2014.
- Applicants should have appeared for or passed Class 12 board exam or intermediate exam with Physics, Chemistry and Biology. For agricultural or horticultural course aspirants, it is necessary to have agriculture or related vocational course in the qualifying exam.
- Medical aspirants must have at least 50% aggregate marks in Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English. Reserved category students should have at least 40% aggregate marks.
