Eligibility Criteria

BE/BTech

 

Students should have passed the class 12 exam from a recognized board with subjects Mathematics, Phys Class XII exam from a recognised board with three core subjects - Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics.

A minimum aggregate mark of 60 per cent in the above subjects’ altogether.

ME/MTech

Candidates who have completed their BE/BTech degree with a valid score in GATE are eligible for ME/MTech degree course

BTech Lateral Entry

Candidates should have passed a three diploma recognized by the Board of Technical Examination of a State Government.

They must secure a minimum of 45 per cent aggregate marks or equivalent.

Diploma

Aspirants must have passed Secondary School Leaving Certificate (SSLC)/tenth standard/equivalent examination, with at least 35 per cent in Science and Mathematics subjects

PhD

Candidates should have obtained a minimum of 55 per cent marks or 5.5 CPI marks in BTech/MTech or equivalent degree in relevant branches

For admissions to engineering courses, the two most popular engineering entrance examinations are JEE Main and JEE Advanced. Apart from these two national-level entrance examinations, there are many state-level and private entrance tests that the students can attempt to get admission in engineering colleges. The basic eligibility requirement to get admission in engineering courses is passing class 12 with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics.
