JEE Main 2015 Result Analysis
JEE Main 2015 was conducted on April 4 (offline), 10 and 11(online), 2015. As many as 12,92,711 aspirants registered for the exam. JEE Main 2015 results were declared on April 27, 2015 and according to information, 1,52,401 have qualified for the JEE (Advanced) based on the cut-offs declared on the result day.
The offline exam was taken by 11,05,021 candidates while the rest of the students opted for the online version. In total, around 1,24,297 boys and 28,104 girls have been able to clear JEE-Advanced.
This year, 73.75% of candidates who registered for the exam are boys and 81.55% out of the total number of aspirants who have qualified for JEE Advanced are boys.
Soon after the results were declared, the names of students who topped the exam started doing the rounds on every platform. Sankalp Gaur from Pune emerged as the JEE Main 2015 topper with the highest score of 345 out of 360. Sankalp stayed off mobile & gadgets for 2 years to get a score this high. Along with the JEE Main 2015 results, came the cut offs for JEE Advanced 2015. The cut-off for general category students is 105, while the cut-off score for OBC β NCL, SC and ST category students is 70, 50 and 44, respectively. Check JEE Main 2015 cut-offs here.
Basis the cut-offs released this year, the cut-off for JEE Main has dropped by 10 marks this year as compared to JEE Main 2014. The dip in marks is supposedly due to the tough question paper of JEE Main 2015.
According to latest information, the All India Ranks for JEE Main 2015 will be declared on July 5 and not July 7, as earlier mentioned by CBSE. Take a look at JEE Main 2015 important dates here!
