JEE Main 2016 Result Analysis
JEE Main 2016 results declared on April 27, 2016, on the official website of the exam. Candidates who appeared for the exam can check their JEE Main 2016 scores online with the help of their roll number and date of birth. The Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main was conducted on April 3, 9, and 10, 2016 in two parts- online and offline. While, the offline exam was held on April 3, the JEE online test was conducted on April 9 & 10, 2016 at 200 centres in 129 cities in India and Abroad.
According to recent information, Sai Teja Talluri of Hyderabad has topped JEE Main 2016 by securing the highest marks of 345 out of 360 in the exam. The second and third positions are bagged by Vignesh Reddy Konda (340) and M. Prashanth Reddy (335) & Sai Aditya (335). All the toppers are reported to be from Narayana Sri Chaitanya IIT Academy. Around 12.07 lakh students registered for JEE Main 2016, out of which approximately 10.04 lakh students appeared for pen and paper exam (offline). The remaining candidates appeared for computer based test, which was conducted on April 9 & 10, 2016. This year the total number of registrations were less compare to last year when around 13.04 lakh students registered for JEE Main.

The scorecard for JEE Main 2016 was released on April 27, 2016. It contained candidate's information such as roll number, date of birth, name, mother's name, father's name, category, state code of eligibility, subjects along with the marks obtained, and category wise cut -off score for appearing in JEE Advanced. According to the official website, the cut-off for appearing in JEE Advanced 2016 is 100 for general category, while 72, 52, and 48 for OBC-NCL, SC and ST students respectively. However, the final rank list will be released only on June 30, 2016 for admissions to B. Tech/B.E./B. Arch in institutes other than IITs.

By appearing for JEE Main, candidates can seek admissions to undergraduate engineering programs at IITs (Indian Institutes of Information Technology), NITs (National Institutes of Technology) and other centrally funded technical institutions (CFTIs) in India.
JEE Main 2016 topper profiles!
JEE Main is a national level examination, conducted by CBSE for admissions to IITs, NITs and CFTIs. The application process for JEE Main started on December 1, 2015 and ended on January 11, 2016. However, the application correction window for the same was opened between January 21 and 31, 2016. The registered candidates were able to download their admit cards for JEE Main 2016 from the official website from March 11 i.e. 23 days prior to the offline exam, which was held on April 3, 2016.
The official answer key for JEE Main 2016 was displayed on the JEE Main website from April 18 to April 22, 2016. While, the JEE Main 2016 scores will be released today, candidates will be able to check their JEE Main 2016 Ranks only on June 30, 2016.
