KIITEE 2016 Counselling Begins!

 
 
KIITEE 2016 counselling commenced on May 17, 2016 at the KIIT University campus, located in Bhubhaneshwar, Odisha, India. Kalinga Institute of Industrial Technology Entrance Examination (KIITEE) 2016 is an online entrance examination conducted by Kalinga Institute of Industrial Technology for admissions to various B. Tech programmes. Candidates who have cleared the exam can attend counsellling between May 17 and 20, 2016. The University will be conducting the counselling for SC/ST/PC and General Women on May 17, whereas for other candidates who belongs to General Category, the counselling will take place between May 18 and 20, 2016.

KIITEE 2016 counseling will be completely based on the merit released by the University. Candidates need to follow the instructions of KIIT University to appear for counseling on a scheduled date and time as specified by the university. The counseling process will include the verification of documents, seat allotment and allocation. All the important documents of candidates will be verified first, only then the candidate will be considered for admissions.

Candidates appearing for the counselling process must take care of the following points:

  • They must download the Rank Card from www.kiitee.ac.in
  • They need to report at the counselling venue half an hour before the time of counselling.
  • They must also check the website before hand to get the latest information related to counselling.
  • Please note that the counselling will be stopped at any time as soon as all the seats are filled up.

Documents to be presented on the day of counselling

Candidates need to produce following documents along with one set of Xerox copies of each document on the day of counselling. Also, note that the original certificates will be returned to candidates after verification.

  1. KIITEE 2016 Admit Card
  2. KIITEE 2016 Rank Card
  3. 10th Pass Certificate/Marksheet
  4. 12th Marksheet (For candidates who are passing out)
  5. 12th Admit Card (For appearing candidates)
  6. Two passport size color photographs
  7. Demand Draft of Rs. 75,000/- which includes the counselling registration fees of Rs. 10,000/- in favour of KIIT University, payable at Bhubaneswar. Candidates need to pay the balance amount by June 10th, 2016.
  8. For candidates who belongs to reserved category, relevant certificates issued by the Competent Authority, indicating the reservation criteria, need to be submitted.
  9. In case of physically challenged, the certificate must be issued by authorized Medical Board.

According to the official website, if a candidate is unable to attend counselling due to any unforeseen reason, his/her parents can attend it on behalf of the candidate with following additional documents:

  2. Identity proof with photograph
  3. Any certificate mentioning the name of parent attending the counselling should be presented at the time of counselling process.

KIITEE results was declared on May 4, 2016 on the official website of KIIT. Applicants can check their score using the application number and password, created at the time of online registration. This year the exam was held across 60 test centers, including the metropolitan cities like Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai, Kolkatta, Bengaluru, etc.
