BMS Educational Trust is one of the renowned trusts in Karnataka. The trust is know for establishing the first private Engineering college in India. After the establishment of BMSCE, the trust established other institutions. Currently, around 16,000 students are pursuing their higher education in Science, Engineering, Architecture, Commerce, Management, Arts and Law in different BMS institutions. BMS College of Engineering

Established in the year 1946, BMSCE has the unique distinction of being the first private engineering college established in India. Over the past 77 years, the institution has produced more than 40,000 engineers. Starting with only three undergraduate courses, BMSCE now offers 13 undergraduate and 16 postgraduate courses both in conventional and emerging areas of engineering & Technology. Following accreditation/ affiliations are awarded to the institute.

• Accredited by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) with the highest grade of A++.
• The first institution in Karnataka accredited by the National Board of Accreditation (NBA) in Tire-I format.
• Affiliated to Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU), Belagavi

Placement

BMS College of Engineering placement 2024 is not released. Earlier, a total of 1,609 students registered out of which 998 students were placed during placements 2023.

BMS College of Engineering COMEDK cutoff 2024 has been released for several BTech specialisations, among which B.E. in Computer Science and Engineering emerged as the most competitive one, considering its closing rank.

Cutoff

As per the BMS College of Engineering COMEDK cutoff 2024, the last Round closing ranks for B.E. in Computer Science and Engineering was 3716 for the General All India category.

BMS College of Law

BMS College of Law (BMSCL) was established in the year 1963 under the aegis of BMS Education Trust. Affiliated to Karnataka State Law University (KSLU), the college is approved by the Bar Council of India, New Delhi. The library at BMSCL has a collection of over 19,000 books and journals which are updated periodically. The Moot Court training persuaded by the college, effectively equips the students in enhancing their litigating skills. The following courses are offered to students by the BMSCL:

• BA LLB (5 Year Degree Course)
• BCom LLB (5 Year Degree Course)
• LLB (3 Year Degree Course)

The training and placement cell of the college assists the students in obtaining timely allotment for mandatory internships in leading NGOs and corporate and Law firms of the country. The cell also takes the initiative in conducting placement-related activities such as training programs, mock interviews, general aptitude and group discussions with special emphasis on soft skills, ethics and professionalism to promote the rate of employability.

BMS College for Women

BMS College for Women (BMSCW) was started in the year 1964 under the umbrella of BMS Educational trust. The college is affiliated to Bengaluru Central University and accredited thrice with ‘A’ grade in 2004, 2009 and 2016 by NAAC. BMSCW offers undergraduate (UG) courses in Arts, Science, Commerce, Business Administration, Computer Science and vocational courses. The Training & Placement (T&P) Cell at BMSCW offer good placements to its students. According to BMS College for Women NIRF report 2024, the median package offered during UG 3-year and PG 2-year placements 2023 stood at INR 1.8 LPA and INR 4.27 LPA, respectively.

BMS Evening College of Engineering

BMS Evening College of Engineering (BMSECE) came into existence in the year 1973. BMSECE is the first aided institution from Karnataka offering undergraduate (UG) degrees in Engineering programme under a lateral entry scheme, for working diploma candidates with a minimum of two years’ work experience. From the academic year 2001-2002 onwards, the diploma holders are being directly admitted to the second year of four-year BE course. At present, the college is affiliated to Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU), Belagavi. The college offers BE degree in the following streams:

BMS Institute of Technology & Management

BMS Institute of Technology & Management (BMSITM) is one of the most sought-after institutes for good quality engineering education in Karnataka. The institute is recognised by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), Government of India, and is affiliated to the Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU), Belagavi. The institute offers the following undergraduate (UG), postgraduate and doctoral-level courses to students in different engineering streams.

The Placement and Training Department was established during the year 2004 in the institute. The highest and average package offered during BMSITM placements 2024 stood at INR 26.40 LPA and INR 7.90 LPA, respectively

BMS School of Architecture

BMS School of Architecture (BMSSA), the 8th institution under the BMS Educational Trust, was established as an Independent “School of Architecture” in the year 2010. BMSSA offers both UG and PG programmes in Architecture. With a strength of around 500 students and 50 faculty members, the school encourages students to think out of the box and explore the limits of architecture. BMSSA is inimitable in its active involvement with industries, social groups, networking with other institutions and its responsibility towards society. The courses offered by the institute are:
