Overall difficulty level:
Most of the students that we met at the centre shared that the exam was quite easy, but lengthy. Vaibhavi, a student of Laxman Public School, Delhi said, ‘’The paper was very simple. But there were 150 questions that needed to be solved in three hours. It was lengthy, so I had to hurry. We couldn’t solves all the questions easily. Every question was from the syllabus. We did not have to think much about how to solve the questions ‘’.
Another student Harsh, a resident of Noida also confirmed the same. He said, ‘’ The exam was quite easy. The questions were simple and straight. The questions were not very conceptual. I have already taken JEE Main 2015 and VITEEE. While JEE Mains was a blunder for me, VITEEE was tough. And comparing all the three, till now UPSEE has been the easiest’’.
Section-wise difficulty level:
Taking the exam at the centre were two friends from Noida, Devesh and Divyansh. While Devesh believed that Maths was the toughest section, Divyansh shared that Chemistry was tougher if compared to the other two sections.
Devesh said, ‘’ The exam was very easy. However, Maths was a bit difficult’’. Disagreeing to this point, Divyansh said, ‘’ Maths was the best in my view. Chemistry was a bit tough for me because I do not like the subject that much. And physics was of an average level’’.
Sharing her views on the section wise difficulty level of the exam, Vaibhavi said, ‘’ Amongst the three sections, I believe Chemistry was the toughest. And the other two were pretty simple’’.
Another student, Abhiraaj from Noida believed that the Physics part was tough. He said, ‘’ I found Physics to be the toughest, while Chemistry was easy. Maths was easy, but it was lengthy. ‘’
Abhiraaj informed that there were topics which were given more weightage and thus the paper had more number of questions from these. He said, “ In physics, more questions came from Newtons law, Kinematics and electricity. And in chemistry, most questions were from organic’’.
However, Amaan, An engineering aspirant said that the most number of questions in Physics came from the topic Projectile motion. According to him, there was an incorrect question in Physics. For him, Physics was the toughest, followed by Chemistry and then Mathematics.
