VITEEE 2016 Phase I Counseling Ends Today

VITEEE 2016 Counseling.

The phase I counselling for VITEEE 2016 is going to end today on May 12, 2016. Candidates whose rank is between 16001 and 20000 will be attending the counselling process today. The Vellore Institute of Technology (VIT) University will be conducting the counselling for VITEEE 2016 at its Vellore campus/Chennai campus, to offer admissions to B.Tech programmes in the VIT University. VITEEE 2016 exam was conducted between April 6 and April 17, 2016 at various locations across India. The VITEEE 2016 results were declared on April 28, 2016 on the official website.

As per the information released on the official website of VIT University, the dates for phase II counseling of other rank holders will be informed soon. Check VITEEE 2016 phase I counseling dates here!

Please note that if a candidate does not appear for the counseling on the specified date, his/her seat shall be offered to the next candidate in the order.

The counseling for allocation of branches is based on All India Rank (AIR). VITEEE 2016 counseling procedure is mentioned below:

1. The VIT University will follow the admission procedure through single window counseling at Vellore and Chennai campus for all the B.Tech programmes.
2. Selected candidates should attend the counseling in person either in Vellore or Chennai campus.
3. The University will be taking care of possible absentees by keeping the number of qualified candidates more than the number of seats available in VIT University.  
4. The admission to VIT University completely depends upon candidate’s All India Rank (AIR) in the VIT Entrance Examination and on the availability of seats.
5. The important details on various branches offered under the B. Tech programmes, total number of seats allocated for each branch, the number of seats available, will be communicated to each candidate during the counseling process.
6. The candidate will be allotted the branch based on the availability.
7. Candidate should check the official website of VIT University on regular basis for information on counseling.
8. If a candidate fail to appear before the Admission Committee for counseling on the specified date, his/her seat shall be offered to the next deserving candidate.
9. However, if a candidate has duly intimated the office regarding his/her absence on the day of counseling, due to any unforeseen reasons, the University may offer them a subsequent date/time for counseling.

Payment of Counseling fee

10. The candidates who will be called for counseling will have to pay an amount of Rs. 10,000/- as Counseling fee (non-refundable). The same will be adjusted in the tuition fee once the candidate joins the University.

11. Once the candidate’s seat is confirmed and he/she accepts the branch allotted to them, they will have to submit the DD for Rs. 50,000/- in favour of VIT University, payable at Vellore. However, this will include the counseling fee of Rs. 10, 000/-.

Submission of documents

Candidates must carry the below mentioned documents to participate in the counseling process:

• VITEEE 2016 e-admit card
• Counseling Admit Card
• VITEEE Result copy
• Class X Board Certificate (as a age proof)
• Mark sheet of qualifying examination/ Class XII board Hall Ticket for those whose results are awaiting.
• Community Certificate (for SC/ST)
• Nativity Certificate for candidates who belong to Jammu and Kashmir and the North Eastern states of Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland, Sikkim and Tripura.
• Demand Draft of Rs. 50, 000/- drawn in favour of ‘VIT University’

Please note that the candidates will only be allowed to participate in the counseling process, when all their documents are verified and found authentic.
