The State Board of Technical Education and Training, Hyderabad releases the TS POLYCET question papers at the official website. Applicants can download the POLYCET question papers PDF at polycet.sbtet.telangana.gov.in. Candidates can use TS POLYCET question papers for their preparations. Referring to POLYCET question papers help candidates to check important topics and chapters asked in the exam.  

Q:   Is there any negative marking in TS POLYCET?
A: 

No there is no negative marking in TS POLYCET exam. In TS POLYCET, there will be one mark for each correct answer and no negative marking for incorrect answers. Candidates have to appear in three subjects. Mathematics will carry 60 questions while Physics and Chemistry will carry 30 questions each. Candidates appearing for Agricultural Polytechnics courses will have to appear for an additional paper (Biology) carrying 30 marks. The total duration of TS POLYCET is 2 hours (120 minutes) for Polytechnic and 2 hours 30 minutes for Agricultural Polytechnic. The total questions in the exam will be 120 (Polytechnic) and 150 (Agricultural Polytechnic). In TS POLYCET, there will be one mark for each correct answer and no negative marking for incorrect answers.

The TS POLYCET exam date 2026 is May 13. SBTET, Hyderabad, will conduct the test in offline mode as a pen & paper test.

Q:   What is the TS POLYCET eligibility criteria?
A: 

To be eligible to apply for TS POLYCET, Candidates should be Indian nationals. Candidates should have passed the S.S.C. examination conducted by the State Board of Secondary Education, Andhra Pradesh/ Telangana, or any other examination recognized as equivalent thereto by the Board of Secondary Education, A.P/TS. such as Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), Indian Council for Secondary Education (ICSE), National Institute of Open School (NIOS), Telangana Open School Society (TOSS), A.P. Open School Society (APOSS), X class examination conducted by various State Boards of 11 Secondary Education in India with Mathematics as one of the subjects, and obtained at least 35% marks in the qualifying examination. There is no age restriction to apply for the TS POLYCET admission test.
