M.Tech colleges accepting GATE in Amethi

Rajiv Gandhi Institute of Petroleum Technology does not offer any scholarship to the M.Tech programme students but provide financial assistance in the form of Institute Assistantships to students admitted under the Full Time Regular Registration Category.

Presently, assistantships at INR 12,400 pm are available for GATE-qualified candidates. Non- GATE qualified candidates, admitted to the programmes at the EIB Centre will be provided with an Institute assistantship of INR 8,000 pm. A student shall be assigned duties up to eight hours per week by the departments to avail teaching assistantship. There are a large number of Institute Fellowships available for M.Tech programme students in various disciplines.

The institute has not released the placement report incorporating the overall data for the 2026 drive. However, the institute have disclosed the 2026 placement statistics till Phase I. As per the reports, over 250 recruiters participated and presented 1202 offers to the students. 1079 students were placed, of which 15 students have got international placements.

Yes, Galgotias University inducts candidates for the majority of its courses based on marks in the qualifying examinations. For admission to the UG programmes across various specialisations at Galgotias University candidates will get selected based on their marks in class 12 as the qualifying examination for UG courses is class 12. Hence, candidates seeking admission to the UG courses at Galgotias University must have valid marks in class 12.

For admission to BTech and BA LLB, candidates are also selected based on their scores in JEE-Main and CLAT, respectively. Therefore, candidates based on their marks in class 12 or the required entrance examination will be selected for further admission rounds followed by document verification and fee payment leading to final seat allotment.

Paper 1 has 75 questions where Physics Chemistry and Mathematics, each section has 25 questions. Out of 25 questions, 20 are MCQs and five are numerical value questions. You must answer all 5 numerical value-type questions. All 20 multiple-choice questions are compulsory. Complete all 75 questions in 3 hours.

According to the IIIT Allahabad, cutoff for Round 1 in 2023, the closing ranks for all BTech specialisations ranged from 4817 to 8428. The most competitive specialisation has been B.Tech. in Information Technology with a R1 closing rank of 4817, followed by B.Tech. in Information Technology (Business Informatics) with a 5162 rank. Refer to the table given below to check the Round 1 closing ranks for BTech specialisations offered by IIIT Allahabad for the General All India category students:

In the recent KIET placement report, KIET recorded a placement rate of 86.79%. A total of 1,610 students secured placements from BTech,  MTech,  MBA, etc. More than 370 companies offered a total of 2,268 offers to its students. The placement rate keeps on changing hence it is indicative.
