Delhi University Admission Process might change again
The new admission process of Delhi University has faced a severe disparagement this year because of the irrational cut-offs, illegal admission rackets and some other flaws. A high powered committee has been constituted and it comprises of 16 principals from different colleges of the University. This committee will rigorously investigate the whole admission process and there are chances that the process will change all over again.
Last week, committee members met and some have recommended that restriction should be imposed on students to apply for the number of colleges. Consequently, this idea will come up with the realistic cut-offs.
Well, it's just a proposal by some of the members and it will be implemented after two or three sittings, most likely by mid January next year. This year the admission process was changed but it seems that it was an inapt move which has led to many flaws and snags with the ever high-cutoffs and over-admissions.
Moreover, Union Telecom Minister Kapil Sibal had to intercede for a rational policy to decide upon eligibility criteria. Apart from this, a large fake admission racket was also busted in the DU, North campus. All these events have put DU's new admission process in a bad light.
