India-UK Chemical Science initiative to be launched
India and United Kingdom are strengthening their relationship by launching more projects in collaboration. The Royal Society of Chemistry (RSC), United Kingdom (UK), with the National Chemical Laboratory (NCL), Pune and Indian Institute for Science Education and Research (IISER), Pune is all set to launch a report on "Developing Talent in Chemical Sciences Initiative" at the NCL, Pune .
A panel discussion will also be held on the occasion to intensify the industry-academia collaborations. Robert Parker, Interim CEO, RSC, Sourav Pal, director, NCL, and K N Ganesh, director IISER will attend the occasion.
This panel discussion aims at strengthening industry-academia collaborations, to create awareness and to find avenues for implementation of the UK-India developing report recommendations. It also targets at good industry-academia practices in the UK and India.
This workshop enhanced the communication between two nations India and UK. Various Indian policy advisors, academic researchers and innovators, and students of the chemical sciences from both the UK and India, scientists from Indian industry as well as representatives of funding organizations came together at this workshop.
The discussion has underlined a number of issues, structural, cultural and financial, which impact the role of the chemical sciences in education, research and industry, both in the UK and in India.
This workshop has figured out various issues that can be addressed through new projects, in the coming years, in collaboration with many organizations from UK and India.
