Indo-Global Education Summit to be held in November
India is all set for the third Indo-Global Education Summit which will be held in November. It will be held in three cities and more than 200 foreign universities and more than 1000 Indian Institutes will participate in this summit. 
This summit is being organized by Indus Foundation and it will be held at New Delhi (4th and 5th November, 2011), Bangalore (8th and 9th November, 2011), and Mumbai (11th and 12th November, 2011). The main purpose of the summit is to explore opportunities for academic collaborations amongst foreign universities and Indian institutions.
S.B. Anumolu, President, Indus Foundation said that the summit will also provide guidance to students for higher studies in India and abroad. It has been specifically designed for educational entrepreneurs, vice-chancellors, presidents, provosts, deans, enrolment officers, and their executive-level team members.
The summit will also have sessions on collaborative research, joint undergraduate and graduate programmes, twinning & transfer programmes, distance education and faculty & student exchange programs, study abroad in India programs, vocational education programs, and other academic partnerships.
The major fields that would be covered in the field are Engineering & IT, Business & Management, Life Sciences & Biomedicine, Natural Sciences, Arts & Humanities, and Social Sciences. There will be one-on-one meetings between representatives of Indian institutions/organizations and those of foreign universities for forging academic collaborations.
Some other diplomatic officials of foreign countries based in India, and Indian diplomatic officials based in foreign countries will also participate in panel discussions on Indo-Global Collaborations with particular reference to their countries.
