National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) 2022 ranking of colleges and universities were released by the Minister of Education Dharmendra Pradhan. The NIRF 2022 Ranking were based on as many as eleven categories including – Overall, Colleges, Universities, Research Institutions, Engineering, Management, Pharmacy, Medical, Dental, Architecture and Law.

As per NIRF Colleges Ranking 2022, Miranda House has bagged first place with an overall score of 78.00. Meanwhile, Hindu Colleges got the second position with 71.86 score and Presidency College got the third rank with 71.67 score.   

The NIRF ranking are based on different parameters. Colleges and universities under all categories have been ranked on the basis of five evaluation parameters – Teaching and Learning Resources (TLR), Graduation Outcome (GO), Perception (PR), Outreach and Inclusivity (OI), and Research and Professional Practice (RP). Under each of these parameters, colleges and universities have been evaluated out of a total score of 100.

NIRF Ranking Parameters with Weightage for Top Colleges in India 2022

NIRF ranks universities each year on the basis of a few parameters. Each parameter has a certain weightage and universities are evaluated out of a total score of 500. Given below are the NIRF ranking parameters along with assigned weightage for each parameter:
