The Ministry of Education, Govt of India, announced the NIRF 2025 Rankings on September 4, 2025. NIRF Ranking 2025 report included the list of the top 100 colleges in India, along with several other categories like top universities, top research institutes, open universities, etc. This year, Hindu College has attained Rank 1, followed by Miranda House, at number two, and Hans Raj College at Rank 3. - Delhi stays on top in the Top 10
You’ll notice that seven of the top ten colleges comes from Delhi University, and it shows how strong DU keeps doing every year without much noise. - Tamil Nadu got the most colleges overall
When you look at the whole list, Tamil Nadu ends up having the highest number of colleges in the top 100, and you can sort of see how the education system there is growing pretty steady. - Some colleges making big rank jumps
Deshbandhu College keeps moving up again, like it’s slowly pushing itself ahead bit by bit.
And then Pachhunga University College in Mizoram, it just keeps rising in a steady way, nothing flashy but still good progress.
