To take admission to the BA LLB programme at the Army Institute of Law Mohali through the AIL LET entrance exam, aspirants must meet the following basic requirements:
- Candidates must be Indian citizens.
- They must have an intermediate degree from a Public School Education Board or any other recognised education board.

- Candidates must have passed Class 12 from the Punjab School Education Board or from any other national or state education board in India with at least 45% on the qualifying exam.
- They need to note that the AIL LET minimum marks criteria 2025 are the same for the candidates belonging to all categories. Thus, general category candidates, SC/ST candidates, and candidates belonging to all reserved categories must have 45% marks in their Class 12 exam to take the AIL LET exam. Punjabi University conducts counselling every year after the release of the merit lists. To confirm their seats, candidates shortlisted as per the Punjabi University merit list 2023 have to attend counselling personally to get admission at the university.
