CLAT Consortium key members changed. Vice-Chancellor of MNLU Nagpur appointed as CLAT 2021 Convener and Vice-Chancellor of NALSAR Hyderabad elected as President.

CLAT 2021 Organising Committee Members Elected

The Governing Body of Consortium of National Law Universities (NLUs) has appointed new Vice-Chancellor and President for the NLU Consortium. Professor (Dr) Vijender Kumar of Maharashtra National Law University, Nagpur has been appointed as the Vice-Chancellor of CLAT 2021 Consortium. On the other hand, Prof (Dr) Faizan Mustafa who was the Vice-Chancellor at NALSAR Hyderabad has been appointed as the President of CLAT 2021 Executive Committee of Consortium of NLUs while NLU Jodhpur Vice-Chancellor, Professor (Dr) Poonam Saxena will be the new Vice President.

Mustafa succeeds Professor V Vijayakumar of NLIU Bhopal will continue as the member of the Executive Committee.

The Consortium has appointed new members as National Law School of India University (NLSIU), Bengaluru withdrew from the CLAT Consortium in 2020. This led to a lot of chaos as the Vice-Chancellor of NLSIU is usually appointed as the Convener of the CLAT exam, each year.

The new Executive Committee of NLU Consortium will meet soon to decide and finalise the details of CLAT 2021.
