The National Academy of Legal Studies and Research was founded in 1998. It is located in Secunderabad Hyderabad has been recognised by the University Grants Commission. NALSAR has been ranked 3rd in the law category by NIRF and accredited grade "A" by NAAC.
The University offers full-time UG, PG, doctorate, and diploma programmes in various fields of Law and Management. NALSAR University of Law, don’t offer admission to BA LLB and LLM programmes without a valid CLAT score. Candidates looking forward to practising law in India, are required to clear the All India Bar Exam (AIBE) that is conducted by BCI. On clearing the AIBE exam, lawyers are awarded a ‘Certificate of Practice’ which is mandatory for practising the profession as an advocate in India. However, aspirants who wish to apply for MBA or BBA may not require CLAT and can get admission based on other accepted entrance exams.
Candidates need to complete a minimum of Class 12 with at least 45% aggregate (40% aggregate for SC and ST categories) to apply for NALSAR University of Law BA LLB (Hons) programme. NALSAR Clat cutoff 2024 has been concluded for admission to the 5-year integrated LLB (UG) and one-year LLM (PG) courses. A total of five cutoff rounds were released by the Consortium of National Law Universities (CNLU) for providing admission to 24 NLUs for UG and 21 NLUs for PG courses.

Every year, CNLU releases CLAT Allotment lists for admission to all the National Law Universities in India including NALSAR. For 2024 admission, the Consortium of National Law Universities (NLUs) has released the CLAT Fourth Allotment list 2024. However for NLU Hyderabad, the cutoff stands closed after round 1 of the seat allotmemt result.
During the NALSAR CLAT cutoff 2024 for the EWS category, the Round 1 closing rank for BA LLB is 564. So, candidates secring a rank of 600 in CLAT 2024 is not eligibe to get into NALSAR for BA LLB (Hons) admission.

NALSAR Scholarships 2025
The University provides two scholarships which include means based scholarships and means-cum-merit based scholarships. These two scholarships are called as Scedule I and Schedule II scholarships. Interested candidates need to fill out an application form to apply for these scholarships. These scholarships or fee concession is offered to BA LLB (Hons), LLM and MBA programme. For 2024 admission, the Consortium of National Law Universities (NLUs) has released the CLAT Fourth Allotment list 2024. However for NLU Hyderabad, the cutoff stands closed after round 1 of the seat allotmemt result.
During the NALSAR CLAT cutoff 2024 for the EWS category, the Round 1 closing rank for BA LLB is 564. So, candidates secring a rank of 600 in CLAT 2024 is not eligibe to get into NALSAR for BA LLB (Hons) admission.
Nalsar University of Law provides undergraduate, postgraduate, diploma and other doctorate courses . Renowned courses at Nalsar University of Law are BA LLB, MBA, PG Diploma, LLM, MA and BBA. For admission in BA LLB, exams like CLAT, TSLAWCET, ISC, TSBIE are applicable. For MBA, exams like XAT, CAT, CMAT, CLAT, JEE MAINS, IPMAT, JIPMAT are accepted .
