Around 50 foreign institutions submitted their proposal in ministry

<p style="text-align: justify;">The initiatives taken by HRD Minister Mr. Kapil Sibal are now showing result for bringing foreign universities to India. Minister Mr. Kapil Sibal trying to bring all major foreign universities to India to establish their institutions in India. The proposal gets the green signal from the <img style="border: 3px solid black; margin: 3px 4px; float: right;" src="https://images.shiksha.com/mediadata/images/1268915741phpPb09Xd.jpeg " alt="" width="150" height="110">Center also. So the path for setting up foreign institutions to India has crosses one more junction.</p> <p style="text-align: justify;"><br />There are around 50 foreign universities, including Duke University, Georgia Institute of Technology and Imperial College London has submitted their proposal to government and waiting for the government&rsquo;s decision over it.</p> <p style="text-align: justify;"><br />A source from ministry said that among these institutes very few are really interested in establishing their institutions in India, moreover they have expressed their thoughts with saying that they want to enter in the education market either with collaboration with some domestic institute or through twining programmes where part of a course will be taught in India and part in the parent institution.</p> <p style="text-align: justify;"><br />As the bill for the same has been cleared by the government, the government is supposed to pass their proposal within eight months from their date of submission. If they all get a green signal from the government then it will prove a milestone step in the history of education. This step will not only help to decrease the number of Indian students going abroad for education, but it will also increase the standard of the education within the country also.
