According to the latest QS TopMBA Applicant Survey, Australia has emerged as one of the top six MBA study destinations in the world competing with more established MBA providers Switzerland and Spain. Australia's geographical and cultural proximity could be a reason for the preference shown by Asian students surveyed for the report.

According to Prof. John Seybolt, Dean of Melbourne Business School (MBS), Australia acts as a bridge between the East and West with its long European heritage, making it a perfect destination for those seeking exposure to the emerging Asia-Pacific markets in the comfort of an international English speaking country.

The country is backed by strong educational infrastructure, high living standard, and lower expenses as compared to other countries like the US and the UK. Gradually, the management degrees offered at Australian Universities are gaining recognition globally especially in the Asia-Pacific region. Moreover, with Britain tightening up Visa rules, the number of Indian students applying to Australian Universities has increased by 16% and is expected to rise further. This will further contribute to the growing popularity of the country among Indian students as one of the ideal international study destinations. (Read more)
