Students have come to see the two as vastly different, and assume that the BBM is likely to open many more doors, when it comes to a career. At our college, we follow the syllabus of the Bangalore University as we are affiliated to BU. However, we also add special value to the course by ensuring that students have the opportunity to train for the industry. The fee structure we follow is also in keeping with what has been prescribed by the university.<br /><br /><span style="font-size: small;"><strong>What is the cut-off percentage for the course?</strong></span></p> <p style="text-align: justify;"><br />We do not have a set cut-off percentage at our college for entry. We believe in offering all students eligible for it a chance, and admit even those students who might have scored only 40% in the pre-university course. However, we ensure that our students are able to keep pace with the requirements of a highly-competitive stream of study by offering special coaching. On an average, we admit about 80 students each year for this course. We offer e-learning facilities, and students have access to a wide collection of video lectures too.</p> <p style="text-align: justify;"><br /><span style="font-size: small;"><strong>What help is offered to weak students?</strong></span></p> <p style="text-align: justify;"><br />On Saturdays, there are special classes for students who feel the need for them. Students themselves can identify weak areas, and seek help. Parents too are informed that students have the option of availing this facility at our college.</p> <p style="text-align: justify;"><br /><span style="font-size: small;"><strong>Do students undergo internship too?</strong></span></p> <p style="text-align: justify;"><br />Our students work as interns, and at the end of the course, we offer help in securing jobs too. The students intern with a wide variety of organisations; they have even worked in government departments. On occasion, we hold sessions where students are encouraged to interact with a range of experts from diverse fields. The interactions, workshops, internship facilities and the aid that the college offers in eventual placement have been much appreciated.</p> <p style="text-align: justify;"><br /><span style="font-size: small;"><strong>What extra-curricular activities do you offer?</strong></span></p> <p style="text-align: justify;"><br />Our classrooms are diverse, and the students are drawn from different backgrounds. We offer opportunities for social service. In the past, the students have organised blood donation camps. There are a number of active clubs. The high student-teacher ratio is an advantage, as each student gets individual attention.</p> <p style="text-align: justify;"><br /><span style="font-size: small;"><strong>Are there industrial visits?</strong></span></p> <p style="text-align: justify;"><br />Sure, we organise trips, sometimes even to locations outside the state.
